North Clackamas Parks & Recreation District — Attraction in Milwaukie

We go to the dog park regularly regardless of weather... While it is a basic park space it is well maintained and always has doggie bags needed. It could be a candidate for an upgrade sometime to reduce the barren portion by the gate that gets extremely muddy after a rain of any duration. General area of park nearby is very nice outside the two gated dog run areas...some picnic benches need removal and/replacement as they have deteriorated...gravel parking area by special event shelter could undergo some thoughts as the irregular shape of this parking field gets difficult to park when busy and people park any which way they want. Getting in and out can at times be a safety concern for people, dogs, kids and vehicles vs main parking which is well designed, paved and striped. There is sufficient ground area available to expand the gravel parking lot out to the east, and south to be more practical in its layout and active use by...

North Clackamas Park is the most friendly park and is the reason I keep coming back. They have a good play area for the younger kids. There is a rose garden where you can just sit and smell the roses and paths that you can walk to your hearts content. The Milwaukie Center has books to read, pool tables, bingo in the afternoon and in the evening, on certain days, and for us seniors they serve lunch. What more could you ask for? Chase and I are there every day looking for deer, rabbits, squirrels and the occasional coyote. The restrooms are always clean, maybe not so much when ball games are all weekend, but they will be clean by Monday for sure. Great place to go and have...

After all the work they did you'd think it would have better drainage. So tandi g water and mud are an issue.

The green slimy stuff that collects after rainy episodes on the walk path near the Bottom of the steps is extremely slippery.

There is an older man that has taken it into his own hands to enforce that dogs need to be on a leash. He has fired a Taser at 3 people including us and dogs. He yelled racial comments at a lady before firing his Taser at her and her dog
