I had to change my review and I’m not comfortable w/ pictures. In a nutshell, don’t come here for blonde hair. I had a really really really bad experience and I don’t want the same thing to happen to someone else. You know how you bring in a picture and you wind up not looking much different? But there’s more. The good thing is they probably won’t over bleach your hair, but they will tell you multiple things that contradict and don’t make sense, at least Sam and the owner will. I’ve since gone to a blonde specialist and learned they just didn’t want to deal with the amount of work I was asking for. Instead of being up front with me, they (Sam and the owner) canceled my appointment without telling me, took my rebooking deposit to just send me away, keeping the money for a few days, and telling me the reason is because my less than 1” outgrowth is too long. They said I was already blonde enough and the owner said when she saw my name on there she told Sam to come get her, because she just wasn’t going to allow her to do any more blonde on me. (Of course they waited until I covered the deposit and drove in to the appointment so they could tell me off and embarrass me in front of the whole salon. Sam was rolling her eyes and laughing at me.) Guys, I have so much natural color throughout my hair, I’m not blondorexic. The blonde they did put in wasn’t lifted high enough, and when I tried to let them know, they insisted it was just either a toner issue or my personal issue. The blonde specialist I saw (different salon after the fact) told me I need about 5-6 hours of work, as my hair has grown out a lot, and most people can’t really do that. Makes sense. And this is how they handled it. So, just be careful. I did not get what I asked for, but they thought it was fine so it didn’t matter. They don’t take kindly to people asking for things outside their level of ability, and blonde is not something they can do very well. Hope this helps someone. Thanks...
Read moreThis salon and Jessica are for lack of better words, sheer perfection!!! Where do I even begin? Ok, maybe let’s start with the services provided. I do the following at MN NAF. Cut, color and extensions. I found this place (and Jessica) by complete accident. I was desperate and losing what little I had of my fine, thin and VERY curly hair due to the stress that comes from losing both of your parents at once. I needed to feel some dignity restored but didn’t know how. On our first meeting, Jessica reassured me that she knew how to fix everything! I was pessimistic because I had failed with many other stylists in the years prior, but Jessica also had naturally curly hair and I’d always wanted extensions anyways. She ordered the extensions, custom permed the hair and dyed my hair to perfectly blend with the Bellami weft and installed within a week. I am not kidding when I say I walked into work the next day and my coworkers were questioning had my hair been that long the whole time?!?! I see my coworkers every SINGLE day! Until Jessica, I had been told that I really couldn’t do extensions unless I was fine with straightening my hair every day and I was not. My hair looks fabulous and I am living the hair dreams that I have had since high school!!!!
Onto the other factor. Every stylist at this salon is absolutely wonderful. I spend A LOT of time here, extensions require move ups and reinstalls so you better like your stylist, and I honestly could hang out with everybody here!!! It’s a warm, welcoming, fun, women supporting women, environment. Come here and support this local female-owned business. You will leave feeling good...

While I still had a good experience while actually at this salon, I was so disappointed with how my nails held up that I do feel I need to share my experience. My nails were great the first day, absolutely beautiful, but after I showered the following night, all of the white on my nails yellowed. I didn’t use any harsh chemicals or hair coloring or anything besides basic soap and shampoo that should have caused yellowing. I’ve had white gel nails many times and have never once seen them yellow. They usually hold up perfectly for nearly two weeks. During my appointment, the UV light was not staying on well between coats, and I do wonder if improper setting between coats was part of the issue. I left for vacation in Florida two days after getting my nails done, and by the time I arrived there, my nails were all discolored, cracking, yellowed and the paint on my thumb had peeled fully off. All I had done is sit in the car and drive…. It was quite disappointing having such disastrous looking nails all of vacation when that was the only reason I had gotten them done. So while I still feel that Aya did a beautiful job painting them, obviously something about the product or process failed horribly here.
Original review (5 stars):
Just got a gel mani pedi from Aya and I’m in love with it. So beautiful! Would...
