Another post about a girl from California loving her food choices!! I'm in town for work right now, and another visiting coworker that had already visited Just Turkey recommended them when I was looking for somewhere to eat lunch. Right off the bat... this restaurant is on the epicenter of the George Floyd memorial. It is literally a couple doors down. We were greeted very enthusiastically when we entered the building. The person working there asked if we had ever eaten there before. When we said no, he told us the top 3 items on the menu. I went with #3... the turkey polish sausage (the other top sellers were turkey tips and Turney lasagna). It was served on a delicious bun with mustard, onions, tomatoes and relish (as well as jalapeños, which I chose not to have ☺). It was also served with french fries. The meal was great. Very flavorful. And just the right size so I wasn't full after eating the polish dog and a handful of fries! Side note... we were also given a sample of the turkey tips to try and they were delicious as well!! 😋

I was in the area and decided to give it a try. I went mid-afternoon and it was only myself and one other couple there. The worker at the counter didn't seem to enthusiastic but placing my order was quick and simple; large and mini order of turkey tips. I was told that it would be about a 15 minute wait time for my food which gave me the idea that everything is cooked to order... WRONG!!! I got home only to see fries covered in BBQ sauce with a few turkey bits. Some of the fries were undercooked and the turkey was hard and dry, not to mention the BBQ sauce tasted like apple cider vinegar ketchup. Like someone else said, it tasted like it was microwaved, 🤢. Sadly to say but NEVER AGAIN, and I can't, in good conscience, recommend this to anyone. HARD PASS FROM ME.

My family came for lunch on a Sunday, when most other restaurants around here were closed. The food was so good we could not stop talking about it. My favorites were the chili and jerk tips. If we were local we would be here all the time! I also appreciate that they give a discount for cash payments. And the gentleman at the counter gamely offered to take a picture of our group in front of the cutesy “Just Turkey” photo backdrop. Very memorable and SO DELICIOUS!

Genuinely disappointed. For a restaurant that only sells turkey, one would think they would be the ones to know how to properly prepare and serve it. Unfortunately, not. The chili my kid got was ice cold in the middle and barely warm on the outside, which also brings up the issue of food poisoning. It should concern all of us that they serve old poultry and can not even reheat it properly. Clearly, this place needs a new microwave. The fries were made in dirty oil, which gave them a sour after taste, and honestly, the turkey leg was okay, but it definitely didn't taste fresh even when they assured me it was. You are better off going to the bbq spot next door (at least they actually had customers in the restaurant) or any other spot in the area. Just sad. Do better and serve quality food to your...
