Another post about a girl from California loving her food choices!!
I'm in town for work right now, and another visiting coworker that had already visited Just Turkey recommended them when I was looking for somewhere to eat lunch.
Right off the bat... this restaurant is on the epicenter of the George Floyd memorial. It is literally a couple doors down.
We were greeted very enthusiastically when we entered the building. The person working there asked if we had ever eaten there before. When we said no, he told us the top 3 items on the menu. I went with #3... the turkey polish sausage (the other top sellers were turkey tips and Turney lasagna). It was served on a delicious bun with mustard, onions, tomatoes and relish (as well as jalapeños, which I chose not to have ☺). It was also served with french fries. The meal was great. Very flavorful. And just the right size so I wasn't full after eating the polish dog and a handful of fries!
Side note... we were also given a sample of the turkey tips to try and they were delicious...
Read moreWell thought this was going to be great was super excited about it then I got to the established to only be let down by the young man working the counter walked in told him I was there to pick up an order then noticed there was a diffrent side then offered online I ask is there an up charge for it he tells me yes I say ok I would like that I'll pay it for him to tell me he already made you order as I sit an watch him make 6 other orders before mine then I say again I would much rather have the ruce before he makes my good for the young man to say I can give it to you on the side which didn't make since being he still hadn't made my food an I said to him again no I would much rather have the rice with the tips on it for the man in the back to finally get to making my food then the young man says u got you next time nope won't be a next time for me you ruined it the first time for me an I spent damn near 40 bucks smh........
Read moreGenuinely disappointed. For a restaurant that only sells turkey, one would think they would be the ones to know how to properly prepare and serve it. Unfortunately, not. The chili my kid got was ice cold in the middle and barely warm on the outside, which also brings up the issue of food poisoning. It should concern all of us that they serve old poultry and can not even reheat it properly. Clearly, this place needs a new microwave. The fries were made in dirty oil, which gave them a sour after taste, and honestly, the turkey leg was okay, but it definitely didn't taste fresh even when they assured me it was. You are better off going to the bbq spot next door (at least they actually had customers in the restaurant) or any other spot in the area. Just sad. Do better and serve quality food to your...
