The park itself is fine,
However, the bathrooms are horrible. We rented a pavilion. Brought our own cleaning supplies and paper products, but others (not our group) trashed the bathrooms anyways. They smell awful. There are no doors on the stalls.
The grills are all falling apart.
The Parks department refuses to put up signs saying the pavilion has been rented.
When we arrived, another party was already there setting up. We had to explain that we had already rented it and ask them to leave. They were obviously upset.
It should not be our responsibility to make someone else pack up their stuff and leave, especially when the Parks department could just post a sign that says it has already been rented.
I found out later, WE could have posted a sign the day before, or earlier on the same day saying the pavilion is rented.

Read moreNot quite open yet, but if you stay on the playground they didn't mind. This grass is being resoded so you need to stay off. It's going to have a dog park. Whenever they get it done it's going to be amazing. The playground had lots of different things on it. It's designed for babies and up to 10 or so. But the rest of the park is unfinished and very large for in town. There is a game field either next to the park or on the far side of it. I couldn't tell. But either way there were several areas. Read moreThe playground is entirely under shade which is great in the summer. The equipment isn't super inspiring, though -- no bright colours and the main structure is small.
Part of the year the park is completely overrun by geese. The splash pad should be considered a public health hazard because of all the goose droppings on it. They need to shut it down or control the geese.
