The last part of the Missouri River in it's natural state. Fishing, swimming, skiing, kayak. I have paddled from Gavin's Point to boar ramp above Vermillion. Very interesting and unique sights along the way. Last few miles that are original period of L&C in early 1800s. Visit the office on 2nd Street and have the kids get a Jr Park Ranger badge. Activities, videos about the Recreation River. The NP Ranger was extremely helpful to excite Kurtis about river system and...

Originally, I went after hours to get my National Park passport book stamped. I’m so glad that I returned during business hours to sign the book and say hello. Patrick and Scotty were so nice and knowledgeable, and even recommended some other sights to see! I’d strongly advise stopping in if you want to know more about the river, history, and...

We stopped in for a passport book stamp and the ranger came out to explain how the river was formed and how it has changed over the years. He recommended places to visit to learn more about Lewis and Clark and scenic areas. ...
