A decent little chunk of local and oddly world history. There isn’t many Y bridges in the world, that be for a reason of course, but nether the less it is pretty cool to still see the Y bridge standing and have it be super stable to walk on and cross whenever you want. If you are a local there is a park to enjoy right next to the Y bridge. Also if you are going to the river business next store be sure to stop by and admire this little piece of history before you float down the river. You can watch the river pretty well from the bridge it’s a beautiful view and the water looks amazing from...

For it to be a historical land mark you would think the city would actually take care of it. The view from the bridge is nice but the bridge itself deserves some update. When the highway 248 was put in it drastically reduced income for galena Missouri and I think cause of that is why no one no longer takes care...

The part I saw was pretty but the asphalt is broken into sections, you can see the seams. Half of one seam has a line of raised asphalt on top of it that I did not see (it’s not painted or marked differently) and I tripped. Bruised my head and leg when I fell but also broke my pinky. Not fun.

Old bridge that first opened in 1927; it is now part of the nearby park. It offers great views of the surrounding countryside as well as the James River which was at flood stage when we visited.
