Hitchcock Park — Attraction in Mitchell

Really nice park! Beautiful tennis complex, sheltered picnic tables and fun playground equipment in good condition! Bathrooms are modern and tidy, stocked with soap. They can be hard to locate though if you are there for picnic and playtime. Have to search a bit for a water fountain too. Highly recommend this for a highway stop and stretch. Stopped over on a road trip to make a meal and stretch our legs. The South picnic shelter has great picnic area, a grill, large parking that can fit a motorhome with dinghy, and awesome bathrooms: lights, real stalls, enclosed, no mosquitoes inside!
