Definitely one of the nicer parks in Moline. It would be a great location to walk laps around the pond especially after the improvements they've made. I know plenty of people who disc golf there. I'm sure there's other locations as well but this is the only one I'm aware of. The large pavilion is great for larger parties and offers restrooms on the lower level. Its slightly more expensive to rent out but well worth it in the summer and offers a great view of the pond. I do wish the upper and lower park were closer together though. It's a rather steep hill if bringing younger kids that may want to play on the jungle gym or use the swings. The hill is great for sledding in the winter though but I'd caution against smaller kids sledding here because once again it is rather steep. The pond is stocked with fish so it's a gorgeous location to get kids into fishing but we haven't had much luck there not that we're avid fishers...

Great place to walk the nature trails or go jogging. Who knows you might see someone that you have not seen in a while.
Or make new friends too!
Just please do not feed the wild life because they then will not feed for themselves and some animals will keep expecting it all year along. Just like people if they get hungry they may get aggressive to people and injure other people or children. Even squirrels can do lots of damage if provoked or raccoons or rabbits. They had this on Dr.OZ!'s t.v. show recently.
Plus ducks and geese might not fly south for winter killing them.
They really need to stay wild for their own safety and yours.
All animals...
Read moreProspect Park has been a favorite area for recreation for many years, and it's centrally located in urban Moline, making it a great escape for local residents. The focal point is the paved trail surrounding the pond, and typically see quite a few people and pets on a daily basis walking, running, fishing, or just hanging out. There's also a large area for disc golf, a playground, several trails, hills, and a fairly large two-story covered pavilion with tables (recently renovated). There are parking lots in several areas, including one by the playground, one down the hill next to the pavilion, and another on the south side. Please pick up after yourself and your pets to keep this park...
