The Friendly Farmyard Traveling Pony & Petting Zoo — Attraction in Montclair

I want to start off by saying that Carolyn and Vincent were awesome! Not only were they friendly, but it showed that they really loved and cared for the animals! They arrived on time, set up, and were ready to go! I was so excited as I looked out of the window of my house and saw them setting up the fences and canopies for the animals. I couldn’t believe I was actually going to have farm animals in my own backyard for my daughter’s first birthday party! So awesome!

Carolyn started off with the Pony ride and played music that really set the tone. Our guests could not believe we had a pony for my daughter’s first birthday party. My daughter absolutely loved the pony Sparkle! She was all smiles and giggles as Sparkle trotted in my yard. I was surprised at how comfortable she was on top of the pony. I truly cannot put a price on her enjoyment and now I have beautiful memories for years to come. My daughter also enjoyed petting and feeding the sheep, goats, ducks and bunnies! She wasn’t afraid of the animals and was more curious than anything else. The next day, Carolyn sent us the photos she had been taking throughout our event as well as a small edited video. Such a great touch! The party was a couple of weeks ago and I still smile every time I remember how much fun my daughter had with the animals. We had a wonderful visit from The Friendly Farmyard for our daughter's fourth birthday party. The animals, which included goats, ducks, chickens, rabbits, and a pony are obviously well cared for and were a hit with our guests, children and grown-ups alike. Carolyn and Pete came about half an hour before the event to set up their tents and corrals in our back yard. Then, for two hours, everyone was allowed to pet, feed, and groom the animals as well as hold the smaller ones and ride the pony (with Carolyn and Pete's supervision and assistance of course). I thought the whole thing was really appropriate for a bunch of four year olds because they could engage with the animals as they pleased. It wasn't like a magic show where they would have to sit down and pay attention. Afterwards, Carolyn and Pete spent about half an hour cleaning up and it was as if they were never here. I highly recommend The Friendly Farmyard, Carolyn and her team! I booked The Friendly Farmyard for my son's 2nd birthday. I knew he loved animals and thought it would be fun to have a farm at our house. My expectation was blown out of the water. When Carolyn came she quickly set up easy to access pens for each of the animals. This made it very easy for each child to independently explore the animals. My son unfortunately did not like Sparkles the horse but all the other children enjoyed riding her. We got to feed the ducks, goats and sheep which was the highlight of the party. The animals were clean, lively, and above all calm and easy for the children to handle. The staff was great and understanding getting the kids acclimated to the animals.
