CHRIST CHURCH TREATS BABIES UNFAIRLY WITH RACISM FORCING ALL BABIES AND MOMS TO SIT IN THE BACK OF THE CHURCH. a church where babies are not excepted is not a church of god. i went back to christ church even tho my first impression of pastor lionel KING was that he shouldn't be a pastor at all [or a comedian for that matter] decided to give it another chance. this time I braught my baby. THIS CHURCH IS RASCIST AGAINST BABIES OF ALL COLOR. they MAKE YOU and all of the babies sit in the back row.. I first said I don't want to sit here. they then said babies have to sit in the back. they then told me the reason was because if the baby cries they don't want it on film. why don't they cut it out of there stupid film like how I'm sure they cut out all the mistakes the pastors make while preaching. why would they not want a baby making beautiful baby sounds on film but they'll record pastor lionel KING talking about kicking a dog cause it's cold out and he doesn't want to walk it.. WOW. GOING TO CHURCH SHOULDN'T BE LIKE YOUR AN ACTOR GOING TO BE IN A MOVIE IT SHOULD BE FOCUSED ON GOD AND THE PEOPLE THAT ATTEND THE CHURCH WHO ARE THERE. BUT THIS CHURCH ABUSES THE PEOPLE ACTUALLY AT THE CHURCH FOR THEIR RIDICULOUS FILM. THIS CHURCH IS NOT A CHURCH OF GOD. BABIES SHOULD BE EMBRACED AND HAVE THE PRIVLEDGE TO SIT UPFRONT AND HEAR THE WORD OF GOD. PRAISE BABIES THEY ARE THE ONLY PURE BEINGS IN THAT CHURCH FOR GOD SAKE. IF THIS CHURCH KNEW WHAT WAS GOOD FOR THEM THEY'D LET ALL THE BABIES IN THE FRONT ROW SO THEY COULD SING AND DANCE ALONG NOT BE TREATED SO RUDE THE WAY THIS CHURCH TREATS THEM. not only that but because I wanted to walk back and fourth from the main room from "the crying room" that they escort you too if your baby even makes a PEEP. my baby was not crying she simply was expressing herself the only way she can she's 12 months old. the lady at the door was judging me for walking back and fourth from the rooms. SORRY but if I have to go sit in the crying room because I have a baby just to hear someone like Lionel preach I will NEVER RETURN this place is really something else. I don't consider the church holy anymore after the way my baby and I were treated it's more like FAKE NEWS with their FAKE FILMS.. i pray christ church ends the HORRIFIC way they treat babies. ITS NO WONDER THEYRE AFRAID THE BABIES WILL CRY WITH HOW MEAN THEY ARE TO THEM. ITS NO WONDER. THE CHILDREN ARE THE FUTURE MAY THEY ENJOY CHURCH AND NOT FEEL LIKE AN OUTSIDER WHO HAS TO SIT AWAY FROM EVERYONE ELSE IN THE BACK ROW BECAUSE THIS CHURCH DOESNT WANT TO HEAR A BABIES VOICE BECAUSE THIS CHURCH DOESN'T CARE. I PRAY THIS CHURCH STARTS TO TREAT PEOPLE EQUALLY WITH KINDNESS AND GRACE CAUDE RIGHT NOW THIS CHURCH IS A DISGRACE. if you don't want your beautiful blessed baby child to feel the racism that Rosa Parks felt when she was told to sit in the back of the bus DON'T GO TO THIS CHURCH. I was not impressed with pastor lionel KING or the church the second time around the pastors should focus more on the actual word of God. someone more experienced and wise should pastor I do not believe this lionel KING was appointed by god this whole church is cursed for the way they treat people and babies. the pastors spend more time asking for money than reciting the word of god. IF THIS WAS A REAL CHURCH OF GOD THE BABIES WOULD LOVE TO BE THERE IN GODS EMBRACE BUT LIKE I SAID THIS CHURCH IS USING RACIST BEHAVIOR AGAINST BABIES AND CHILDREN ALIKE I SAW THEY EVEN FORCED THE MENTALLY ILL TO SIT AWAY IN THE CRYING ROOM....
Read moreChrist Church is the biggest asset to the community. This is the most selfless church I have ever been too. There moto is bringing people to people & people to God. My mother was a part of this church before she went home to be with the lord and I was a part of another small church which I liked. Well when you are close to God and study his word he will speak to you and God told me to Join Christ Church, which I had no intentions of doing but listened to the lord and I have to say this church has changed my life!
I remember when they bought the Rockaway building and let members come down to write their prayers on the floor before they laid down new flooring. We worship on prayer, the Holy Spirit is always in both buildings. The word is always good, and never condemning but thought provoking. They preach in love here they speak biblically basses truth and read directly from the Bible. What’s more is they are always doing things for the community their annual carnival , movie night outdoors all which of are free! They have their 316 pledge this church is doing the right thing and truly blessed and Highly favored. I know when God looks down on Christ Church and it’s leadership he says well done!
I’m so glad I’m a part of something so wonderful and so impactful. I thought I didn’t want to be a part of a mega church I always thought you would be just a number, but that’s not the case at all here. They have so many intimate groups here. They have different outreach groups at Christ Church. Just the other week someone from the church I didn’t even know called me to check on me and ask if there was anything I needed or anything I would like to see from the church. When my mother passed they had their pastoral team reach out to my self and my family for a whole year check on us pray with us sending comforting books. My mother had only been a member for a very short time before she passed as the old timers would say she dated the church for a long time before finally commiting lol . They have just about any group that you could imagine here. I joined a mother’s with sons group and met a great friend there. I like that they have groups for any thing you like age group etc.
I’ll close with their child care at the church is amazing the people are so warm loving etc the kids have fun they learn. It’s such a great experience for my kids that my son gets dressed at 4am then picks out his sisters clothes and makes breakfast so we have no excuse to be late because he wants to go enjoys it and his favorite day is Sunday because we get to go to church. That alone should tell you this church is doing something right if everything else I have said hasn’t. I love this church and wouldn’t be who I am today with...
Read moreUpdate I believe that it is important for people to hear the good just as much as they hear the bad. I believe in second chances. And I believe that when you see positive you should fully acknowledge it. That being said, here is my update on what’s happened since last year.....
I am the mommy of the baby who babbled in Church and was shamed for it.
I received calls from several people within a week of this incident, including from the lead Pastor of this location himself. Everyone was extremely apologetic, asked that I come back to the church.....and even wanted to know what could have been done differently to make the outcome more positive. While I appreciated everyone’s efforts, the sincerity was still in question. So I searched for another church. Visited several within the past year. And while they were all wonderful, I never did get the sense of belonging that I got when I first started going to Christ Church. So, with many reservations, I took my now 1 year old baby back to Christ one Sunday morning. We went to the main sanctuary to hear the music which was just as awesome as I remembered. And she smiled and danced and clapped. And when the music stopped playing she became a bit irritated and started to pout. But unlike before, I was never approached. I did see myself to another area within a short time once I realized she was probably approaching toddler tantrum mode. But I appreciated so much that I wasn’t judged in this setting. I also want to commend the Church on the many updates that have been made. The children’s area where I took my baby was very toddler friendly and had many welcomed distractions for her so I could continue enjoying the sermon. Christ Church definitely proved to me that they were serious about positive change and not just talking the talk. This Church is the real deal and I am so grateful to be able to fellowship in a space that is more than willing to right any wrongs, no matter how...
