Parking is located on gravel. I was here in August, all trees were green and luscious, and there was plenty of shade. The path itself was extremely narrow, and I would highly recommend wearing a long pair of pants so you don’t get scratched or touched by poison ivy. Would highly recommend spraying some Deet against the ticks! It is not a circular trail rather it takes you from point A to point B in about an hour. There’s plenty of trash near the water that people left behind them.

Amazing area to hike and explore local wildlife and nature. You can see foxes, turtles (including snapping turtles), deer, raccoons, fish, owls, woodpeckers, cranes and more! Due to the abundance of wildlife you should also be wary of ticks. FYI Ticks are still active even during winter months 😉 With that being said I am exploring these woods almost every day with my dog and highly recommend people take advantage of this wonderful protected area 🤠

A beautiful section of Seneca Creek Greenway Trail right off busy Route 355. You get instant immersion in nature the moment you step on the trail. The creek, trail, and woodland setting are quite aesthetically pleasing. It’s about 3 miles to reach Watkins Mill Rd.
