This was an excellent park that we happened to find on our long drive up I-81. It's only about a 9 minute detour off the highway and only another 2 minute detour to hit up the local Food Lion grocery for food after visiting.
This park has 3 main playground areas all next to each other. In particular, our kids loved the zip line, 3-seater spinning ride, and the unique rope climbing structure. There are also plenty of swings, a few large, modern playground structures with slides/etc, and shaded benches.
There is what appears to be a community pool at the top of the parking lot, which was closed in early December. While there may have been public bathrooms available in there, we don't know since it wasn't open (in other words, don't plan on there being a bathroom, though there was a porta potty near the parking lot when we visited). There are also two basketball courts and a covered pavilion with picnic tables, though a sign states not to use it without reservations.
On the other side of the parking lot, there's also a small paved walking path with various static work out equipment and a small baseball field.
Overall it made for a great park to visit, especially as a road trip break with a few young boys, with a grocery store just a few minutes...

While not the largest in size, it is still equipped with various playground activities, basketball courts, a walking trail, baseball field, and a pool (Only opened between Memorial Day and Labor Day). There is also a nice picnic shelter. The park is very clean, and not crowded. Great place...

Plus, if you play Little League Baseball they have a nice facility for that as well. I love to stop and eat lunch here when in town and then enjoy a walk through the more open area to relax and enjoy...
