As this is like the 7th restaurant that has opened in this location I was really hoping it would be great. It just wasn’t. Not that the food tasted bad but it wasn’t great either. And the portions were much smaller than most Mexican restaurants. The birria tacos did not come with consume or salsa. It also said it would have cheese and it did not. They were kinda hard and lacked flavor. Thank god I bought the guacamole bc that was the only thing that had flavor. The kids quesadilla had very little cheese on it and was too hard for my toddler to eat. The chimichangas my mom got were tiny. At first I thought it was one cut in half but it was 2 very small ones. I had no idea the beans would be spicy and gave some of mine to my daughter… seconds later she was screaming and refused to eat anything else. I really want yall to work out but you’ve got to work on your problems. We need a good restaurant in this town. I wish you luck but fix the issues or you’ll end up like every other restaurant that opens in...
Read moreLas 3 Marias is the newest restaurant to open in Mount Jackson, taking over a location that's seen a few different names and owners (this is the third restaurant and fourth ownership in the same spot).
Having only been open for a few weeks, it’s understandable that there are some early growing pains. During my visit, the ground beef in my taco was served at room temperature, and the sauce packed more heat than I expected—something to keep in mind if you're sensitive to spice. Additionally, the rice wasn't the traditional Spanish or Mexican-style rice many might expect from a Mexican restaurant.
That said, there's real potential here. The flavors are bold, and there's clearly effort being put into creating something new for the community. I genuinely hope Las 3 Marias continues to refine their menu and operations—because Mount Jackson could definitely benefit from more dining options.
Overall, I do recommend giving them a try and supporting a new local spot as they find...
Read moreWe were out of town for a sports event and chose this restaurant based off the good reviews. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the reviews. The service was great- prompt and friendly. We were the only people in the restaurant. The music was very loud. The food was just ok. The salsa was like a tomato puree and the cheese dip was gritty. One of my children got the fajitas. There was more onions and peppers than meat. It was served with guacamole which was good. The pico de gallo was good also. My husband and our other child got the ultimate burrito and they said it was pretty good but had a lot of rice and beans as a filler. My husband also got the 22oz margarita but it was not 22oz, more like 12oz. I got the taco salad and a hard taco. The salad was a little on the small side but it tasted okay. Overall, not a good value for the money. I don't think we...
