Echo Lake Park — Attraction in Mountainside

4 star for noticability, it nice the boating facility is good nice people at the boating cafe.. very friendly but the lake.. is there someone or any organization responsible to keep it clean..? The lake was dirty.. on it's way to be nothing but swamp.. Really need attantion to get it cleaned and even better.. the play ground was good.. nice walk .. more maps in area are needed for better navigation and easier for first time users.. no guidance on where to walk for what.. so eventually first timer will feel they are in a jungle to explore.. Went to Echo lake dog park 🐕. Lovely large space, separate section for large and small dogs. They even had a little pool for the dogs so adorable 😍. I was nervous since this was his first dog park but as we walked in there was a couple dog owners that walked us through it, "let him off the leash, he will be ok" , " he needs to feel comfortable while walking freely". I listened obviously they were more experienced than me and they were right he blended in beautifully. Only thing i recommended is Dont bring in personal toys it can get ugly. Been coming here for about 8 years now. A good dog park. Rarely come across unruly misbehaved dogs. Friendly people. Lot of big open space for dogs to run and play. Designated small dog area. You do get your fair share of Karens and Kevins who don't know how to read dog body language and can't distinguish between normal behavior/play and bad behavior and will yell at you because they think your dog is aggressive. And if your dog is misbehaving, don't be that proud guy who defends your dogs misbehavior. Just separate your dog for a few minutes to have him calm down (there is a timeout pen, and putting your dog in timeout does work). All in all, a...
