Loved this place as a kid and got to bring my daughter here. Our favorite part is the birds that are in rehab out back. Such an amazing learning center, nature trail and great place to fish.

My son and his boyscout troop had an amazing time walking the trails, looking for bugs and learning about the animals we had seen on our walk.

If you love nature and being outside this is a great place for a day outing or even just a couple of hours. With a small pond for fishing and looking at the frogs to nature trails with grass and trees all around or paved trails leading through the park with beautiful rest areas, flowers, trees, and wildlife. This place offers it all with an education. Most of the trees flowers and etc are labeled teach you what each thing is. I have to say I highly enjoy coming here. The only reason for a four-star instead of a five is lack of trash cans. We went for a walk out there today and I never noticed before but we went quite a ways around the park and did not see...

This was a great discovery! We had not been here before and it was worth the trip. Plenty of outdoor space to walk around paved trails or go off the paved areas if you are so inclined and able. Cooling off by taking some time in the indoor learning spaces is great. Want to know how much a bald eagle weighs? They have an exhibit that will help you understand, not just know. Huge catfish and other aquatic life are on display. And if you just want to take the kids fishing, they have a stocked pond...

no matter what time of year it is or what time of day you go Discovery Park always seems to be beautiful and trash, free litter free, no dog poop in the yards or on the trails. It's small enough you can give the kids free reign to explore things in their own. Finishing poles are welcomed. Their Learning Center is worth exploring if you have an extra half hour or hour. The Rangers couldn't be more helpful or kids friendly. An all around...
