Beachwood Park: A Chilly Slice of Heaven on Lake Michigan If you’re looking for a place where nature shows off, even when you’re bundled up like a marshmallow in the dead of November, Beachwood Park in Muskegon is the spot. Perched right on the shore of Lake Michigan, this park offers the kind of breathtaking beauty that makes you forget you’re losing feeling in your toes. The sunsets here are straight-up showstoppers. Even in the cold, they paint the sky with colors that would make Bob Ross jealous. Reds, oranges, and pinks swirl together in a light show that will have you contemplating deep life truths…or at least taking a ridiculous amount of photos. And it’s not just the sunsets—the whole area is stunning, even when dusted with snow. The icy shoreline, the serene quiet of a wintery beach, and the dramatic waves make you feel like you’ve wandered into a nature documentary. Sure, your fingers might freeze while trying to capture the perfect Instagram shot, but hey, sacrifices must be made for art. Beachwood Park might not scream “beach day” in late November, but it does whisper, “Take a moment and breathe in the beauty.” Whether you’re a winter warrior or planning to return in flip-flop weather, this gem on Lake Michigan is worth the visit—snow boots and all.

This is lakeside's true gem and easily one of the best parks in Muskegon county. Yeah they've got the usual amenities that come with most parks but Beachwood also has trails and almost cliche scenery. How many other parks have you been to that are so beautiful that it's almost corny 😂😂😂 This park is a great place to get in some elevation gains or a quick lap. They've also got those mini lazy tennis nets. You know, the little ones. Anyway, this is certainly my favorite park in the area and only Hoffmaster and lake harbor can really be considered superior.

Beautiful beach here and in September it was certainly very quiet, not so in July when it can be extremely busy to the extent that you will struggle to find a parking spot (payable high season). On my visit today the only folks out were wind surfers taking advantage of the breeze.

Beachwood Park is a great, local park in the Muskegon area. It includes a great play area for children, pickleball court, rest rooms, and more. One of the best features of the park is the bike/running trail that wraps itself around the park and leads you to the beautiful Lake Michigan.

We frequently visit Beachwood Park for runs and to enjoy the scenery. One of the hidden gems of Beachwood Park is the wooded trails behind the sledding hills.

Go, lose yourself in the trails. You will have an amazing time out on the trails and...
