Back in February my family and friends were enjoying a mini vaca celebrating my birthday. We arrived with ample time to hit a few on the driving range, etc. We returned to the clubhouse about 20 minutes early before our tee time. The golf pro initially told us to go ahead because the other that were partnered with us were late. As we began to leave for the 1st tee, we were then told to wait on the couple partnered with us. We waited about 30 minutes (which at this point is about 15 mins past our tee time). We allow the couple to tee off first. They took 2 mulligans each before we were to tee off. We finish the hole and as we proceed to the 2nd hole we were told that we had tp skip the 2nd hole due to time restraints with tee times. Initially, I brush it off and head to hole 3. The golf pro then decides that he would accompany us through the rest of the holes to make sure that we ar on time. I ask if this was standard practice and to my dismay he responds with several insults both racial and skill related. I immediately demanded a refund and did not finish my round having only played the first hole. I have golfed at some of the most elite courses on thr east coast and this was the first time that I had been discriminated as such. Especially on my birthday! I would not recommend this course for any one that is a minority becuase your experience is sure to be similar to mine. Just one of the most racist courses...

What really bugged me however was the GPS in the golf cart. While it had a lot of useful information, it false alarmed at least six times. All for the same fault, and all while we are on the cart path for the hole we were on. That was annoying.
Secondly, and this was programmed in, as you approached the limit of where you could travel it would let you know with a shrill alarm rather than a gentle reminder tone. So that probably happened about 14 or 15 times and I didn't like it at all.
So why did it bug me so much? It's because golf is a thinking person's sport. Before you can make a good shot you have to plan a good shot, and that means paying attention as your approach where your ball is. This shrill alarm immediately takes your focus off what you were doing to find out what it's alleging you did wrong. And then you find out you did nothing wrong. So then you have to get back to where you were, not always as simple...

I wouldnt play it for any more than $40 right now, definitely not the $100 i paid. I went inside after to complain, the pro shop attendant offered me a free drink... (at least its something?)
the good: the layout is very fun, multiple sets of tees for different skill levels, other than the greens its in good shape (not great but good). we had a slow group in front of us and without us saying anything the ranger had already told them to pick up the pace and then asked them to skip holes because they were still behind.(Thanks ranger!) Cart girl was kind and easy on the eyes. All the carts have gps and flyover of each hole which helps tremendously for first time visiters.
tldr: go play it for sure, its worth the money, just not until theirs...
