*Attempted to use this business" I am currently searching for a new hairdresser and was very excited to learn that your salon is right up the street from where I live. I read each one of the stylists bios and chose whom I thought would be best for me. Unfortunately, I don't remember when I booked it but I know it was a few weeks in between the booking and the appointment. Shortly after booking my appointment for a partial foil, the same day, I realized that I hadn't asked for waxing but couldn't figure out how to go back in to add it so I ended up sending an email to inquire about adding that service. I received an email back that same day saying it was do-able but to arrive at 3:15 instead of 3:30. Fast forward to the day prior to my appointment, I saw that I had a missed call from them and thought it was just someone calling to confirm my appointment. To my surprise, I had 6 voicemails waiting and one was from someone there from May 12th (they did not leave a name) stating that there was an issue with your online scheduler affecting my appointment and that's how it was left; I was not reached after 1 attempt. (no voicemail was left from missed call)
I immediately called the salon after hearing this message but also got the voicemail in which I did leave a message. I received a text message TODAY (the day before my appointment!!!) from someone stating verbatim: "We had left you a message a couple of weeks ago that the appointment that I scheduled for your partial foil does not have time for a blow-dry. We wanted to see if you are ok with leaving with your hair wet, or if you'd like to rebook for another day where you can the foil and blow-dry/haircut."
I learned the day prior to my appointment that could not be fully accommodated and as expected. After much disappointment and hesitation, I sent an email per their website and received a response that he wanted the opportunity to "make it right" and what was a good day and time to talk. That information was provided; no calls or voicemails left in an attempt to "make it right". On the same day, I also got a diamond facial from Mackenzie. I came in with no idea what I wanted even after reviewing the website. I had a consultation before my facial and they suggested the diamond facial. In the moment I felt like it was just another place that tried to suck your money but I was there to treat myself and said okay. Mackenzie warned me before hand that this facial wasnt your average relaxing facial but it would fix everything that we discussed in the consultation. The facial felt average bc of what I said previously. When I came out, I did not see any difference in my skin and bummed !!BUUT!! After a few hours, my skin was glowing, all of my large pores were gone and my dry skin was ✨Moistured✨. It has been a week since Ive had my facial and I’m still amazed at the difference. I can't remember exactly (since 2015) when I started going to the Skin and Body Spa, but my first visit was for a simple manicure. Then I started booking more manicures and pedicures because I just love the atmosphere and how everyone treats me. Everyone is very professional and they really do try to make me feel relaxed and happy at every visit. I have had other services such as massages, hair cuts/color, make-up applications, and hairdos. When I schedule a new appointment, I don't usually make a request on who provides me the service because I know that I will always end up with someone who will take great care of me. I've also had the receptionist or Alexandra (the owner) call me before an appointment if they are unclear about something in regards to how I want my hair done or if there are other special requests.
