I bought a knife here two days ago as a Christmas gift. I discovered binding in the knifes opening and closing mechanism and brought it back to have it looked at and or replaced as to get a gift to my friend on time. Not only was I accused of not buying the knife at the store I was also informed that they were too busy to do anything about it until January! So much for customers come first I guess. Now I have to wait 4-5 weeks to get it replaced through the manufacturer.
EDIT: I was not in the store for twenty minuets for you guys to help me. I was at the counter for less than ONE minuet before i was accused of not buying the knife there, and then informed there was nothing that could be done. I left came back with the box to prove I bought it there and when I came back the person who sold me the knife helped me out not the original staff member I interacted with. I did not touch any of the bolts, and the two people who handled the knife agreed something was wrong. I feel like the store is gaslighting me. Why would I have you guys send it in for warranty for me after a negative interaction?? 2nd EDIT: Reading back through your response again and the line, 'we spent twenty minuets with you to resolve your problem quickly and efficiently", rubs me the wrong way. I was not respected by the first staff I encountered. I spent more time in my car figuring out the next course of action. To only come back inside and have someone try for 5 minuets while the original person said to them multiple times. "I told them I could work on it after the holidays." If you wanted to keep my business then...
Read moreStepping up during a crisis. Great option for basketball hoops. Natick Outdoor Store should get a commendation. Thank you!
Natick Outdoor Store already does so much and so much well. During the crisis, it found a way to help home-bound families. Greg cheerfully answers its phones, finds ways to stock basketball hoops and works with Derek to assemble, safely deliver and comprehensively set up basketball hoops.
Getting any delivery is a challenge. Natick Outdoor Store strategically stocked high quality hoops (portable and in-ground) and temporarily reoriented its business. In a matter of days (not weeks or months), a sturdy basketball hoop at a very fair price was in our driveway. Not only was it incredibly easy, but the staff there were friendly, helpful (answering many questions), quick and reliable. Everything went off without a hitch.
We cannot recommend this opportunity more highly. Please support local businesses, respect social distancing guidelines, exercise, make the whole family happy and have some...
Read moreI really love the NOS, it is eclectic small town, carry-everything, slightly disorganized aesthetic is at once charming and relaxing. Judging by the types of apparel on offer, NOS is the preferred outfitter for the local highschool sports teams-adding to the hometown charm. The deep connection to the community makes shopping here feel good.
If you're looking for a big box store with lots of light, you won't find it here. You will, however find lots of people who come from the town and who really want to help you find what you need. On a visit about a year ago, I had a twenty minute conversation about camping lanterns, lumens and battery life.
If I had one complaint, it's that the process are a little high, but that, I believe is a result of the limited negotiation leverage that comes from being a single store enterprise rather than a chain.
In short, NOS is a feel-good shopping experience for people who like community based businesses and want to support...
