Arbor Lodge State Historical Park — Attraction in Nebraska City

Absolutely loved walking thru the Lodge and seeing all the historical furniture, clothes and rooms and reading about their context in time. It breaks my heart that the exterior of the home is crumbling apart: peeling paint, broken shutters, steps falling apart, etc. This beautiful home was given to the State of Nebraska to be preserved in J. Beautiful place as always, Nebraska City's little Oasis. Trees make the weather nicer no matter what. We always love the playground, and seeing the giant coy fish. Today the fish pond was green hope the fish are in a better place. Surprised to see this because the fish pond was recently remodeled.
