Steinhart Park — Attraction in Nebraska City

OMG Nelson (my pup) & I are traveling. He was miserable in Nebraska it was SO cold his out doors time was very minimal. So once we got to the end FINALLY. 😅 Then to find this park.. He was NOT getting back in that car . We spent the entire day there . Well w the exception of location of a restroom, the wen says yes. But it's truly NOPE.

I get it cold not many go out, there to cold. Humans don't go in the winter JUST the summer spring.

So in the winter WERE NOT ALLOWED PARK TOILETS

We had our family reunion here, about 80 people. There were plenty of picnic tables and a water spigot, and the bathrooms were nearby. The shelter kept the sun away on a 100-degree day, so no complaints there. There are not too many trees to block the breeze but enough for shade. Oh, trash cans were not hard to find, which made clean-up ready. Everything was well maintained, so far as the tables, the shelter, trees, ...

We were present for a prayer retreat and only used the Steinhardt Lodge. However, the park seems to be a wonderful place for recreation and exercise. From my vantage point I was able to see a playground for kids with traditional metal playground equipment (carousel, slide, swings, etc.) Our kids did enjoy that!
