This place has had much thought and hard work put into it to display many different aspects of life in North Platte. I highly encourage visitors and spend plenty of time.
The museum has many interesting local and personal artifacts. I did not spend enough time here. There is a working phone booth with phones that have the hand held receiver and fixed mouth piece.
The outdoor museum has many building with furnishings that demonstrate life in North Platte. Our central goal was to visit the Sears catalog house (Fredricksen House).
There is plenty of space to walk around and for children to spread out.

It is run by local women and men with no real huge funds. But the well preserved buildings outside, old tractor collection, military and times past inside.
