This museum truly is a gem. Don't miss it! I used to visit often in the mid-1970s, but then moved away from the area. Recently, we were in the area again, and one of the things I really wanted to do was go back to the Bergstrom-Mahler. I'm so glad we did.

Since I last visited, the museum has been updated. All the exhibits are stunning! This is one of the premier paperweight collections in the world, and now the display does it justice. They also display gorgeous art glass. Don't miss the displays in the conference room on the second floor either. Many more paperweights are in drawers along the walls there. My love of art glass originated in this museum, and I added another paperweight to my collection in the museum shop, which is well stocked. And every single staff member we interacted with was friendly and knowledgeable. If you enjoy beautiful objects, you'll be glad you made time to visit the...

I never thiught paperweights could be interesting but the Bergstrom-Mahler Museum has opened my eyes and given me a new appreciation for this form of glass art.

I visited this free museum on my first trip to Neenah with my family just a few days ago. It was a Thursday so it was a calm day with few other visitors during our afternoon visit. This free museum is spacious and clean. Most of glass on display is paperweights, complete with an interactive explanation of how paperweights are made. They also have a modern glass section and an antique glassware section. The downstairs area has a glass studio where the community and sign up for various glass making classes. The classes seemed very approachable and reasonably priced (not to mention the friendly staff). I would love to come back for a glass class when I return...

I found this location as an assignment for a summer class through UW-Green Bay and I'm so glad I did. I went in with the mindset that I just wanted to get my assignment done, but a few hours later I was sad to part ways. It was one of the coolest experiences I have had. I spent around 2 hours here and could have easily spent more time. There are so many pieces of art here and many have such intricate details. One of the workers talked to me about my assignment and would check up on me once and a while pointing out some of her favorite pieces. This added to my experience because I could tell she was also passionate about being there. This worker also pulled up a video for me on one of my favorite pieces so I could see how...

Never been to a glass museum before, what a surprise! The only thing I knew before visiting was from some basic television programs that detailed how they blow glass, but this museum was mostly about fused glass. It’s incredible what they are able to do and how intricate the designs, details, and colors are! Everything inside the paperweights is glass! That’s the only way they could possibly do it since anything organic would just burn up in the heat! They have an interesting historical section too! The ladies at the front desk were very helpful and were more than happy to answer any questions. Admission is free, but obviously they accept donations to keep the museum going strong. Enjoy!

There is no entrance fee for this display, but there are a few opportunities to support the museum with strategically located boxes which are easy to find. You may feel inclined to do so after walking through the masterfully crafted exhibits. This quarter(?) they have on display works from a local high school, and I was very pleasantly surprised by the level of detail and quality. These are in combination with what are likely more traditional pieces, all beautiful, interesting, and sometimes even amusing. The museum itself is very clean, well-lit and easy to navigate. The staff are welcoming and helpful, and appear to have an intimate grasp of the museum and its process.

This place has a lot of very cool pieces. The pictures don't do most of these justice. We were so engrossed in the artwork that we completely lost track of time. It's free to get in and look around. They do accept donations. There is also a gift shop with some unique glasswork, much of it very reasonably priced. The staff here are great too! (Forgot to put that in my original review). Very friendly and knowledgeable! Well worth the trip! There are tons of Pokestops and gyms all around this area for the Go players.
