Stop & Shop — Attraction in Neptune City

My sister and I came in this location visiting the city of Neptune from Linden. My sister is pregnant with twins and she wanted steamed crab legs. So we found this stop & shop and came because of the reviews. Which were good until today. The customer service in the place was so bad. She went to the seafood counter and asked the man can she have steamed crab legs season. He told her he only have 30 min of steam time. They have one steamer. He also told her that she can cook them herself and it's easy to do??? Wth basically the steamer was in use for someone not in the store we were in the store and told my sister she couldn't get crab legs because of a customer not in the store!! I call for a manager MARY HICKS she told me she couldn't do anything about a customer in the store because the 1 steamer a supermarket has is in use for someone else. So forget the possible money in the store for the 40 min he was probably cooking those lobsters. I thought it was kind of rude as if she was arguing the time that my sister came to the counter and told us well he close at 8pm. I told her we were here before 8pm. I'm like BUT we are HERE what about us.. SHE'S PREGNANT you can't deny a pregnant woman food especially when we were there on time. The manager compensated us with a $5 GC whopdi Doo my sister can't have her craving because of 1 steamer I'm a huge supermarket and because of a customer that wasn't even there yet. UPDATE Dana is another cashier that has no interaction with a customer even when I asked her a question she completely ignored me . She's usually on the self-checkout area mostly on her phone . Asked her a direct question and got no answer at all so I did report her to the front end supervisor but I doubt if anything will change I went in there today July 17th and there she was on her phone in the self-checkout area .I have to say there are 2 girls I have dealt with at the customer service counter and they have always been outstanding. One girl's name is Denise and I'm sorry to say I cannot remember the other girl. And there's a blonde haired woman that works in the deli who is very good I'm sorry she doesn't work there more often

The store itself is very clean there's some of the aisles are little tight with merchandising stuck either in the middle of the aisle in displays or coming off the display shelves themselves the employees are always great very helpful very friendly always a big smile the prices though are a little high compared to ShopRite and Foodtown. As a matter of fact little high is actually incorrect their very high some of the highest amongst the big three or four though I'm not an Aldi fan even Aldi has cheaper pricing in shop and stop I drive a little bit out of my way to ShopRite on a regular basis to save money as opposed to going to Stop & Shop which is a lot closer for me but the savings on a fixed budget or a necessity management could do something about that it would be the great store among all the...
