Neskowin Beach State Park — Attraction in Neskowin

Neskowin has always been one of my favorite beaches to go to especially as a child as we went here almost every year for my birthday. We would cross the creek. I remember when feet of the sand washed away exposing the ancient stumps. We would climb Proposal Rock to see the wonderful views from the viewpoints. You can't really do this anymore but we used to walk around the rock at low tide and climb the cliffs from the ocean side of Proposal Rock. This is such a nice beach. I have such fond memories especially of my children growing up and my father who passed away four years ago. This is a great beach for kids. They're is a large stretch of beach that is protected from the wind which keeps you weather on those cool days. There is also a small Creek that runs out to the beach. This is great for kids to play in because unlike the ocean with it's ever moving border, the creek is easy for children to understand where the water is and will be. Love this place. Been going here for 30+ years. A little hard to access the beach, but well worth it. Go for a low tide and see the submerged forest.
