Gruene Estate Event Venue — Attraction in New Braunfels

Gruene Estate was both a fairy tale venue and the most premier Texas Hill Country wedding location all rolled into one. My husband and I recently got married at Gruene Estate (April 2017), after a year-long engagement. Even aside from the fact that the venue has so much rich history and the perfect amount of Texas charm, the location itself is perfect for people who are local to the area or from far away because it is centrally located. Our out-of-town guests had plenty of options for places to stay- from hotels in the area (for those who wanted a chain/room block), to local/quaint B&Bs, and even Gruene Estate owns nice houses nearby in case people in a large family or group of friends wanted to stay in one location. My husband and I planned our wedding from Connecticut where we currently live, and the staff at Gruene Estate were by our side during the whole year-long engagement- helping us plan, providing us with resources and answering all of our questions along the way in a timely manner.

The benefit to Gruene Estate (among everything else) is that the venue speaks for itself so you don't need to spend a fortune on decorations and flowers if you don't want to. PLUS, Gruene Estate has a lot of beautiful decorations they let you use as well (mercury votive candles, rustic lanterns, wood pieces, baskets, etc.)- free of charge. This was huge for us because we couldn't handle shipping everything or packing it with us on the trip down, and we didn't have immediate family in the area (the State is big after all). The fire pit, outdoor bar, reclaimed wood tables, cornhole and tree lit chandeliers also add to the appeal as well to make it a rustic and elegant venue.

The Gruene Estate team also works with you to provide a day-of coordinator so that you don't have to stress about anything on your big day. This team was amazing- the fact that Gruene Estate even offers that (along with a coordinator that helps you throughout the course of your engagement) sets them apart. Everyone was so fantastic to get to know and they make it all about you as a couple from the moment you set your date to the moment of your Big Day.

I could say so much more, but to sum it up this is the best venue in the entire Hill Country by far (and we did a lot of research!). It has everything from location, affordability, friendly and helpful staff, things to do in the area, charm and much more!

If I could give them 10 stars, I WOULD! Melinde (venue manager) and Marie (wedding coordinator) are the GREATEST, most wonderful people you could ever meet in your life! From the moment I got to the venue I was in love with the beauty of the open air chapel, the longhorns, the horses the cute pavilion and Antoinette and Ernest's house! This was such a cool place to have our wedding. Everyone raved about how wonderful everything turned out and how friendly all the people were. As the bride, I loved the active communication and honesty. I turned down about a dozen venues before chosing this one because I didn't like the "run around" when my questions were being answered. The first day with Melinde was like venue hunting with my mom, she was very open and accommodating. She made sure all my questions were answered and I was comfortable chosing her venue. There was NO pressure or coercion. Melinde let us come back with my out of town parents later on and kept in contact during the whole process for any additional questions. Melinde is the second mom you wish you had! Now, Marie.. oh my is this woman a GOD SEND! She coordinated EVERYTHING! She is the sister you wish you had! She is so kind and just this wonderful human being who makes EVERYTHING go according to plan. Even when things aren't going according to plan she has a backup and get it straightened out before you (The bride) even know there's an issue. I was having issues with one of my vendors and Marie is a little barracuda! She will fight for you and do everything in her power to make sure your day is PERFECT! I would never have thought that these people would be like family and take as good of care of us as they did. Thank you for making our day incredible!!!! I would pick this...

I struggled hard to find a venue that really fit everything I was looking for until I found Gruene Estate. During my first tour around the property with Melinde I know it was everything I was looking for. Melinde was so incredible from start to finish. She helped answer all of my questions along the way and she facilitated the booking process so flawlessly and with such care and support (not to mention during a pandemic!) After booking and being confident in my decision I was then supported by Carrie who was just as incredible. She continued my planning process and was available to answer all of my questions and provide support along the way to make me feel confident in the success of my wedding day. P.S - hiring Bash Events to facilitate the set up & break down is worth every penny! On my wedding day it was so incredible to step on property and know what to expect down to every last detail. The houses were ready on time, my vendors all arrived, and all details were done to my expectations. The property and houses were cleaned and looked fantastic on the wedding day. My day of coordinator, Courtney executed my event flawlessly and kept things moving on time and kept me informed as to what was next to come. She never made me feel rushed or overwhelmed. I am forever grateful for the beautiful experience and wedding that I was able to have at Gruene Estate from start to finish! I am overjoyed at the memories that this venue & their staff will hold in my heart. They helped me create and execute the wedding of my dreams! Thank you Gruene Estate from a very happy bride...
