We toured many venues in the Austin area, and no matter how good their package looked online, ultimately none of them met the vision we had nor fit our price range. We began looking further outside of the Austin area to see if we could find something cheaper. The Chapel at Gruene was like finding a tiny hidden gem surrounded by a million diamonds. If I could have a wedding over again, I would absolutely choose the Chapel at Gruene over any other venue. As soon as we toured the venue, we knew it was the one. It was absolutely PERFECT! From the little Chapel, to the beautiful reception hall, to all the wonderful landscaping and greenery! My husbands 1 request was to be married in a church. My request was to not (lol). I feel like the Chapel at Gruene gave us that perfect in between of feeling like you are at a church without that old school churchy feel. A huge plus was having the reception hall on site as well! Many of our guests were telling us about previous weddings they have been to were the ceremony and reception were at different places which was difficult for them. I loved having everything we needed for the day of at the same place. We used the bridal suite to get ready which was absolutely amazing. At first, I was thinking it was too big of a space, but by the end of getting ready boy was I glad to have all that space! The guys cottage opens at 2, which is perfect timing for them to be able to get something to eat before or even do an activity before if they choose to do so. The Chapel also offers a ton of decoration items to choose from at no extra cost. You just go on their website and choose what you want and they leave it all in the reception hall for you. They also set up all the tables, chairs, benches, etc for you, so you dont have to worry about any of the heavy lifting! We opted in to renting the 4 cottages out as well the night of, so my husband and I could stay in a cottage and a few of our bridal party members stayed in some of the other ones. It was a perfect way to ensure that everyone got “home” safely. The manager, Michael Tompkins, was so easy and accessible to work with. He responded to all my text/emails in a timely manner (even if I asked the same questions over and over lol). The Chapel also provides a “Bride Guide” which has basically anything you could possibly think of on their from decorations available, to different table layouts, to recommended vendors in the area and so much more. This guide was soooo helpful! I cannot recommend The Chapel enough- they were...

We got married at The Chapel at Gruene this May, and we truly could not have imagined a better experience. From the first conversation to the final sendoff, Michael and his incredible team went above and beyond to ensure every detail at TCG was perfect. In the months leading up to our wedding, Michael stayed in close contact with us, coordinating thoughtfully to make sure nothing was overlooked. His professionalism, warmth, and genuine care for our day set the tone for the entire experience. We rented the cabins on-site the night before the wedding, which made for such a relaxed, memorable start to our wedding day. Waking up on the property, sipping coffee on the patio, and watching Joel and his team prepare the grounds after heavy rain the night before was something we will never forget. Joel worked tirelessly that morning to make sure everything was pristine — and it was! Throughout the day, he was present, attentive, and always ready to lend a hand with anything we needed. The cabins themselves were charming, comfortable, and fully stocked. Staying there both before and after the wedding allowed us to soak in every moment with our family and friends. Having a space to gather and celebrate late into the night made the experience even much more special. Don’t pass on renting the cabins for the wedding night! As for the venue — it is breathtaking on its own. Our guests gushed all night about how beautiful the chapel and reception spaces were. So many of them could not believe this hidden gem was right here, so close to home. The shaded property and thoughtful layout also made the Texas heat feel surprisingly manageable. This was something our guests truly appreciated. The reception space hardly needs added décor, but the door closet that Chapel at Gruene offers is a dream. The curated collection of décor options is stunning, and we highly recommend taking advantage of this unique feature. The “Second Day Looks” option also gave us a chance to envision the space with different styles before the big day. Another thoughtful touch that set this venue apart. We chose most of our vendors from the TGC preferred vendor list, and they were all fantastic — a testament to Michael’s excellent recommendations. If you are looking for a venue that is not only gorgeous but also backed by a team who genuinely cares about your experience, we cannot recommend The Chapel at...

Our wedding at The Chapel At Gruene was absolutely perfect! Michael and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with from the moment we booked.

Michael was a star throughout the planning process—extremely responsive and always made himself available to answer our questions right up to the day before the wedding. On the day itself, Joel was our point of contact and was phenomenal. He went above and beyond, helping us with decorations and even assisting with a complex setup when we were short on time! My day-of coordinator, who has worked with many venues, commented on how rare it is to find owners and staff who are so accommodating and willing to meet unique requests. The Chapel truly strives to make your event personal.

One of the key selling points for us was the Chapel's vast inventory of decor that couples can use. This feature alone saved us an unbelievable amount of money, as we only had to buy flowers and small personal favors. The ability to borrow existing, beautiful wedding inventory is a massive cost-saver compared to buying or renting everything yourself.

The grounds, the chapel, the reception hall, and the bridal suite are all beautiful and immaculately maintained, creating a gorgeous rustic French cottage chic feeling. The bridal suite is one of the cutest and most spacious we saw—well-appointed with a fun, girly vibe, two rooms, and two bathrooms.

Another huge benefit is the on-site guest houses. These are high-quality, fully-equipped cottages (even better than many Airbnb rentals) that used to be a bed-and-breakfast. Providing fantastic lodging right on the grounds was a tremendous convenience for our out-of-town guests, allowing them to relax and enjoy the celebration longer without worrying about travel or extra hotel costs. We wholeheartedly recommend Michael and The...
