Gruene Coffee Haus — Restaurant in New Braunfels

This is a nice coffee house but the baristas don't have a very nice attitude to accommodate their customers' requests. My daughter is caffeine sensitive and she asked for a cream based pumpkin frappe (no caffeine). She had previously asked for this same drink at this coffee shop and the baristas had without any problems made this frappe. The ladies this time said that they couldn't make it without caffeine because all their mixes had caffeine in them. When my daughter told the ladies that this frappe had been made at this place without caffeine, they told her that that was not possible and that they would have made it with caffeine and not told her so. My daughter would have known right away if a drink had caffeine because the effect of caffeine is almost immediate. Any coffee shop is able to accommodate requests for no caffeine, so their whole attitude of making a big deal about not being able to accommodate a request is ridiculous. If I could give 10 stars, I would! I have been ordering coffee for the last decade from this place and the customer service is always so impeccable, truly so warm, welcoming, and friendly every time I walk in and when I order online (I live in Denver, CO) I love the sweet little custom note they always send, please don't stop that touch! The last 2 years I have been ordering the 5lbs Pecan whole bean bag with no issues, last week UPS said they delivered at my front door, but it was nowhere to be found, I reached out to their Roaster Sunday night and heard back Monday morning with the best response- not only did they make me laugh, BUT they were sending out another bag that day and made it so effortless for me as the customer, I cannot tell you how grateful I am for this amazing customer service, it's already chilly in Denver and I so look forward to my coffee every morning, so thank you Gruene Coffee Haus for being so amazing as usual and I so appreciate you prioritizing my 5lbs of coffee yesterday :) You have a forever...

These are the kind of reviews that I really enjoy leaving! 5 STAR experience!!! The atmosphere was welcoming and warm The decor and the lighting was fantastic! When I walked in I was greeted with fantastic hints of coffee notes dancing in the air. Everybody in this place was smiling and when I say everybody, I'm referring to not just the staff but also the clientele! The care of the staff is what really impressed me the most. They were very knowledgeable about all the different types of coffee's that they offer even telling me a little bit about the origins of each coffee variety. They were very enthusiastic and lively explaining to me that they even roast their own beans on location. Several of the staff asked me if my drink was to my satisfaction and it was very good! The drink I enjoyed was the Jamaican coffee seasonal variety. I will definitely give this business a five star rating.
