ย ย ย Read moreI have been visiting since I was a kid! This one is one of the best parks in the Seacoast! It has a playground, picnic ๐งบ tables, a jetty for fishing ๐ฃ, access to a beach ๐๏ธ, great ๐ views of the Piscataqua, plenty of parking ๐ ฟ๏ธ, public restrooms, grills and plenty of elbow room! I once observed a bald eagle ๐ฆ once on the jetty. It was chased away by a murder of black crows ๐ฆโโฌ. No, not the band that sang "Twice as Hard"! Seagulls love ๐ it here too! I bring my kids here when I can. My kids had many school ๐ outings here. They would get a chance to swim and run around. I would either bike ๐ฒ here or go on group outings. On our last visit, we parked near New Castle's post office and walked the beach โฑ๏ธ to visit. You are charged admission at the entrance. Even in the winter โ๏ธ, people still visit. People walk their dogs ๐ถ, sightsee and take photos. Even during rough weather โ๏ธ, people watch the sea crashing into the ๐ชจ rocks. You can see Whaleback and the Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouses. The Pose Inside Outdoor Picture Frame by metal sculptor Walter Liff is popular with photo enthusiasts. I recommend a visit anytime...
ย ย ย Read moreI like that this park has a nice beach with this really fine light gray sand. It is also a good beach for the little ones as the water is very shallow and very gradual change in depth. I also noted the water is very clear and calm. On the right side of the beach there are large rocks and seaweed and sand in this area that is good for the kids to search for shells and marine life. There is a fairly large playground also for the kids. For picnics there are tables in the open and one covered along with permanent charcoal grills to use. Along the water front there are also benches to sit and look at the scenery. In the center there is a large open area for playing. There are a few parking lots and parking along the roads. There is also rest rooms and outdoor shower to use when they open for the season. Admission is $10 per car. I like this nice scenic...
