What a great tour! We started our journey with Bus Driver Brian, who picked us up near our hotel. After he collected all his passengers, as he drove us out to the swamp, he told us a bunch of neat stuff about New Orleans and Louisiana and the things we passed along the way. Nice comfortable coach bus to and from the swamp. Once we got to the launch point, Captain Barry took us on an unforgettable journey through the Bayou and up and down the Pearl River. The boat was like an extension of himself, he was so skilled at navigating the tight trees and reversing and turning around so everyone could see the animals. He knew just where to look for animals and had an eagle eye. He also knew all the species of the flora and fauna and taught us about each one. Plus, when we passed some houses and houseboats, he also gave us some architectural history as well! We saw several gators, big and small, some adorable raccoons, various birds (including a barn owl, which is rare in the daytime) and a whole family of wild pigs! Such a cool adventure.

Going on a swamp tour was on my bucket list - complete! My family and I booked a Cajun Encounter VIP tour in April. We also had them pick us up. I am so glad we paid for the extras. The travel there was great, our driver was funny and very informative the whole way there. Our tour guide, Frank, was awesome! He was friendly, interactive, and very educated on the ecosystem. He was able to answer all of our questions. We saw quite a few alligators and raccoons and even a fishing spider! With no rain in the forecast we didn’t bother bringing our raincoats. It rained on us (not a lot, thankfully) but Frank provided us ponchos! From beginning to end this tour was amazing! My family said this was the favorite part of our trip! I would highly recommend them!

I'd love to say we experienced a tour, but our experience is related to the company's integrity and customer service. We had a tour booked that we were really looking forward to until I experienced an unrelated accident and injury and was hospitalized for 4 days. Needless to say we were unable to show up for our tour or reach out to cancel. When we finally reached home, I reached out to the company via email explaining my situation and asked if they'd consider refunding my prepaid tour purchase- I offered to provide proof of my accident and hospital stay. They quickly and politely agreed to my request and refunded our tickets. IF we ever get back to NOLA, we'll definitely schedule a tour with...
