The Saint Claude Avenue draw bridge, over the Industrial Canal, is old and appears a little rusty. Built in 1919 it has seen its share of traffic and has been up and down allowing ships to enter the locks, countless times. While it shows its age it is still a thing of beauty and a reminder of what Made in America once meant. A really great old draw bridge still doing its job.

Beautiful bridge that is a bit ragged but astounding. The counterweight is scary at the far side and the fact you drive under it blows my mind. Impressive architectural features with the rivets and you can see the locks from the foot bridge on the side. The horn is loud so be forewarned if your near it when it sounds.
