Mohegan Bluffs — Attraction in New Shoreham

An absolute jewel of a place! We are in Newport for a few days' vacation from NYC. Nature, walking to explore, the Atlantic ocean and photography are what motivates my searches for new experiences. I did a lot of research before coming back to Newport, and serendipitously stumbled upon a mention of Block Island. We took a high speed ferry to get there. The trip takes an hour. You have seven hours to explore the island before it's time to leave. To say we were stunned by the natural beauty of Mohegan Bluffs isn't to say much at all. It's best to see this geological wonder with your own eyes. Great walking area. Beautiful scenery. Great place for photos. We enjoyed the day here walking around looking at the amazing views. The place is very well kept up. This is located close to the South light house on the island. There are lots of steps and has the best views of Atlantic Ocean. Be prepared to carry fluids it gets challenging when climbing the steps back. There’s a view point close by and gives the best views of the wind energy mills...
