Langdon is an ideal park. The park hosts a soft top play area for children (and adults if you so fancy), picnic tables for the family to enjoy a snack, and doggy bags for easy cleanup when you decide to bring the doggies along. This is all set to the backdrop of beautiful Lake Michigan.
The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that if you're west of Sheridan, you must cross Sheridan Road to access the park. If there was a stop light, that would be perfectly fine. Lots of motor boat and jet ski noise given the proximity to the yacht harbor. Dealt with biting flies for the first couple hours. On a 95 degree summer day the water started in the 60s but warmed up throughout the day and was comfortable by 2:30pm. There's parking very nearby and a grocery store within walking distance if you need snacks.

Use of the beach requires a day use fee, analogous to going to the local public pool where you have to cover the cost of life guard supervision. They prohibit inflatables...
