This is the 1st time I visited the Wallace bowl and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the acoustics were for the performance I witnessed. It's just a big open pavilion, no reflective panels or archways or anything like that, but somehow even with the most basic of projection equipment, the Evanston Symphony orchestra was clear as day from 90' away. I do wish it was a little further from roads and parking because cars were still very loud as they passed, but otherwise The performance and the atmosphere were lovely. Highly recommend the location for Picnic's, family reunion's, anything that can be done out in the sun and near the lake. Not too buggy, A pleasant breeze and relief from the heat, You can almost hear the lakefront. I'm sure people have been making use of this location for corporate events for some time. Very close to public transit as well, only 7 blocks from the Linden purple line and basically the rest of Chicagoland. All in all a perfect summer evening...
