Alchemy Coffee & Bake House — Restaurant in New Trier Township

My best friend goes there weekly I wish I could too but I neither drink coffee nor eat sugar/gluten so I allow myself to slurge on smoothie or sconce once a month. The staff is friendly. The scones to die for. Smoothies without artificial stuff or corn syrup. My gf swears by their coffee and made it her weekend priority before going for the morning walk. Coffee is 3/5 stars very mediocre, owner flipped out today because his phone/register went missing. He was so rude, yelled at his staff ( I think son and a wife ) they seemed very stressed too when it happened. The owner paced around yelling and literary freaking out. I couldn’t believe he thought not only that was acceptable but also how is it possible for someone to be so angry and violent, especially REPRESENTING YOUR OWN BRAND. All I have to say is wow. I accidentally dropped my purse on the nearby to the coffee house street where my car was parked. And when I realized I didn’t have my purse and drove back, someone found it and turned it in to the coffee place. It had my ID’s and some cash. Everything was there, nothing missing. I couldn’t thank those people who found it, but was thankful the coffee house gave it to me that someone turned it in.
