Blue Heron Park Nature Center — Attraction in New York

Was there with my family for Family Camp day. The park is well organized, there are 5 different hiking trails, it's a small playground and restrooms inside the building. Amazing views of butterfly pond, spring pond and more... The rangers are very helpful and prepared. The way family camp was organized was fun and informative for the kids and for grown-ups too. Great memories here. My father used to bring me down here to explore nature as a child. We used to encounter different kinds of wildlife here, including and especially snapper turtles. Which were abundant in this area especially in the 'pond' which looked more like a swamp at the time then a pond. But along with the snapper turtles it also had multiple species of fish and other water based wildlife, as well as different...

The trails were nice and peaceful. There were pretty wild ducks in the lake. Tha main building itself was nice. There was a cute turtle swimming in a tank. Overall great place with nice...
