I came in earlier this morning around 10:15, to find two men in an altercation about pokemon cards. I was there for the same reason, so I figured I'd stay back and wait for the employee to handle it. The employee let this altercation go on for over an hour and did absolutely nothing to de-escalate the situation. One of the men was extremely aggressive towards customers, including myself and the employee, yet no one was asked to leave, and the police were not called even after threats were made. The employee just watched as the aggressive customer called me all sorts of names for just being in the store because at this point I was just waiting for my father to pick me up since I was tired of waiting for the situation to get resolved. This man shouldn't have been allowed to cause a disruption in the store for this long! Ask the customer to calm down. Tell the customer to calm down, or they will have to leave. TELL the customer to leave and call the police. This was such an uncomfortable experience for me and I will not be returning to this location for...
Read moreI arrived at the Gateway Drive GameStop in Brooklyn around 6:20pm (45 minutes from my home) with my nephew and 2 of his friends to celebrate his birthday. I planned on purchasing 2 games for each. However, the door was locked with customers inside. The salesperson came to the door and told me the store was closing after those customers. I asked him how that was possible when sign on door states store closes at 9pm. He claimed that he was going on a break. Then, I asked what time I should return. He stated that after his break has a meeting and by the time finishes store will be closing. After he saw me taking pictures, displayed a sign on door as seen in attached photos. What kind of business is this? Poorly managed! I took my business to Target and Best Buy and purchased the games there since clearly this GameStop is not interested in...
Read moreI visited the store with my grandmother and cousin, and we were the only customers there at the time. We found an action figure but couldn’t find the price, so we approached the employee at the front desk to ask about it. The employee, who had green and black hair, responded in a rude and dismissive manner. Her tone was angry and condescending, and she showed noticeable attitude even when we asked simple questions about the gift cards. After we left the store, we overheard her say, “I can’t deal with these people,” which we found extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. I’m not sure what she meant by that, but it left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. I believe this employee could benefit from training in customer service and professionalism. Everyone deserves to be treated with...
