Date: 2/24/25 ( 459 Gateway Drive) Disappointing Experience at Chick-fil-A
I visited a Chick-fil-A location for the first time today, and unfortunately, my experience did not reflect the high standards the brand is known for.
Many employees were not wearing hair nets or hats, even with locs or braids, which I found concerning from a hygiene perspective.
I was not greeted with the usual "Welcome to Chick-fil-A" or "How can I help you today?" Instead, I heard, "Can I take the following guest?" and was asked to show my receipt without any hospitality or warm customer service.
The overall service made me feel like I was at a fast-food chain like McDonald's or Popeyes, not at Chick-fil-A.
The cleanliness of the establishment was also lacking, with dirty floors and tables inside.
Given that this location hasn't been open long, I was expecting better service and attention to detail. Unfortunately, based on my experience today, I will be driving the extra 4 miles to the downtown Brooklyn location for future visits.
This was my first time at this Chick-fil-A, and I sincerely hope it was just an off day. I trust this won't be my experience again in the future.

Read moreI recently visited this location and had a mixed experience. Although the food was good, the service fell short. I waited about 20 minutes for my order, which I didn’t mind at first, expecting my meal to be fresh and warm. Unfortunately, when I opened the bag in my car, both the sandwich and fries were cold.
This seemed to happen because there was confusion over my drink order. Even though I changed my order to a peppermint milkshake at the register, I initially received a vanilla one, which caused a delay while they corrected it. Meanwhile, my food sat and got cold. The peppermint milkshake comes with broken peppermint candy, the one with the chocolate center. It was a good peppermint shake but not my vibe.
Additionally, only one register was open despite a busy staff behind the counter, leading to delays for customers ordering and paying. I specifically chose to wait in line instead of using mobile ordering, hoping for a smoother experience, but it was disappointing. There were managers overlooking the operations but didn't delegate the manpower appropriately. If you have employees taking orders in the line, have more registers open so people can pay for their food, that way it's not just...
Read moreIf you knew how much I love chick fil a, you would understand how much it pains me to write a negative review. This is my second time going to this CFA. The first time was a few weeks ago. I didn't get all of the sauces I put in my mobile order, the fries were lukewarm and overcooked, and no one said, "my pleaure" when I said thank you. I didn't make a big deal about it as these were minor issues and the establishment is new. However, yesterday I went back to this CFA. I placed a mobile order. It said it would be ready in 6-13 minutes, but it took about 30 minutes for me to get my order. When I did, the fries were again lukewarm and overcooked, my sauces were missing, the ice cream dream cup was missing from the kids meal, the Sprite was pure seltzer water, and the lemonade was sour. It seems they opened too soon or need new training or better supervision or something else. I've been to all of the CFAs in the city when they opened and never experienced this, not on day one or any day afterwards. Needless to say, I'll not be returning to this CFA. Hoping that when the one opens in Flatbush, it will be in line with true CFA culture and...
