DISGUSTING! By far.. I love panera have been to many but this one was gross in every way ! THIS REVIEW IS LONG BUT WORTH READING..I believe we all as foodies like to treat ourselves to a day out and eat out it's our money that we work very hard to earn so I like to believe we use our money where is worthwhile and a place where we will be treated well and a clean hygienic place! My visit to panera in GATEWAY MALL. On November 6 2017 I whent in to dine with my mom and 4 year old son place smelled like wet moldy rug bathroom filthy customer service terrible they all talked among one another not focused on customer I felt rushed ordering ! Asked for potatoe soup and the "manager walked by me and told the cashier we are out" ordered a roasted turkey Blt yuck! Turkey smelled bacon was soggy avocado was black and rotted while I noticed this walking back to my table the table was filthy had food stains and two long black hair strand pasted on the table with soda stains I walked over asked for my table to be cleaned NO ONE CAME I had to clean it myself then I grab my spoon to eat and my spoon was dirty had caked on food !!! GROSS! I whent back to the front and the manager was walking back and forth not in control of his employees I told the guy my spoon is dirty and this avocado is uneceptable to eat please give me a plastic spoon and give me fresh avocado he smirked and the rude female that was preparing the food asked him what does she want he mumbled something and they started laughing! He then said we have NO PLASTIC SPOONS! The ovocado he gave me was still rotten ! Upset at this point I wanted to speak to a supervisor but as I can see there is no good customer service there and the place looked very disorganized ! I just wanted to get of there ! I then whent to the soda section to get a green tea YUCKKKKK! Everything was all wet and soiled straws everywhere opened lemon slices with a fruit fly flying around'!!!!! All the plastic containers with the juices was almost empty and the plastic was very stained as if it was never cleaned!!!!! So gross !!!!!! That nite I whent home and woke up with bad stomache !!! Read moreThe worst Panera bread award goes to this place, first: all employees are rude, your order will be made incorrectly, they will take Ingredients out as they please, they will replace your bread with whatever they have instead of informing you that it’s not available, they will cut the size of your sandwich by 1/3, they will throw in old salad left over inside your sandwich or salad, they will put in whatever they see fit, and lastly they will announce out at the moment you enter the store that their is 30+ minutes of wait time so it’s best to not order. This store is a mess and it’s not because the store is busy but rather mismanagement, incompetent manager, incompetent employees and incompetent preparer, ie: front counter will be empty for minutes, employees walks past customers as if customers works for them instead, there’s no information as where to pick you your online orders and instead it changes daily, and do not try to argue with them over incorrect orders because they will flat out tell you to reorder at the front desk and hence you will have to wait for your order again even though it was them who messed up and indirectly know that you won’t wait and you will just get upset and leave. They employees also gangs up on customers, belittles them, yells at them such as “I can’t hear you”, “we don’t have it” and “sorry, it’s not my job”. Read moreOk the food is generally tasty which is why we went over there and I think most people do. But I think there is something inherently wrong with the Managment system that’s going on.
We placed our order on the kiosk, went to the pick up area, our name never showed up but we patiently waited and then I asked and it and the bag was just there not on the counter. Our food was cold. The last time I was there the same thing happened with an order issues and mix up and waiting.
The cups we received were dirty. And I had to request a new one from already stressed out employees.
When we went to go get our Guava Lemonade thing that was $5 there was no option at the drink bar and the plain lemonade looked bad like it moldy or something. For $5 for soda… fine wasn’t gonna make an issue. I pour ginger ale from the fountain and it was only lime seltzer? Wasn’t ginger ale or even sprite.
I don’t think this is an employee issue as it is a management issue and that this style of ordering is not appropriate for this particular franchise/ area. Also overworking your employees like that does not ensure good customer service or the longevity of this business. It’s clearly...
