As i approached 50 years old this year, I was diagnosed with high cholesterol high blood pressure and heavy weight gain. I haven’t done any sort of working out training in over 30 years and I knew it was time for me to make some changes in my personal habits. As a Whitestone resident, I’ve always passed SAGE Fitness center I was always kind of nervous to go in And evaluate what they can do for me. But One day I said enough and I gained the courage to just walk in and I met with Nino, who is the co-owner And from the start, i was met with complete professionalism; and the level of care and time That he and his team took To get me started on this lifetime journey Was amazing from the Get go. I decided to take on their three times a week 1on 1 personal training sessions For duration of 12 weeks, they have all different options, but I felt this one was the one I needed To break out of this bad mold I was in. It was the best decision I ever made in my life, leading me to want more each time. Yes it’s hard but SAGE works with you very closely in assuring you train to your current limits without injury As their training and fitness knowledge and experience is exceptional. Strength training and working out And fitness training are all delayed progression You don’t see results immediately and you don’t see results for a long time actually To see them as you approach the Mark You see some out your training but before you know it BAM it hits you and you start To see the transformation. But we’re out strength, training and exercise. You start to realize the things that were hard to do on your normal daily life start to become easier. You feel more confident you sleep better you think better All good things come out of it. And SAGE has a tremendous team of trainers, so Nino put me on with here comes JOHNNY an Amazing motivated, hard-working individual Who translates his motivation and dedication to training into your training sessions His knowledge and information that he also lends is a big plus and Nutrition advice plus tips on what to do after you train is Exceptional! The End result, of my 3 months training period at SAGE has led to normal cholesterol levels, controlled blood pressure, all around PERFECT blood work!! I have knee and hip injuries and arthritis in my back, but Jordan is able to work around them and still get me the results I want. The workouts are so creative and fun that I actually look forward to starting my day at Sage—you could go there every single day for months and never do the same workout twice.
The trainers use a combination of body weight, weights, kettle bells, TRX straps, medicine balls, and a ton of other equipment to maximize your potential and reach your goals, and then even surpass them! When I started at Sage a few years ago, I just wanted to build some strength and gain muscle because I had only been doing cardio before that. Jordan had me squatting 165 pounds, 150% of my body weight, in just a couple of months; but the change in my body was obvious even before that. Jordan helped me find a healthy balance in my diet, and although I was eating more calories and more carbs when I started training with him, I leaned out so much and gained muscle within the first few weeks. I never thought I would have abs, but the summer after I started training with Jordan I couldn’t wait to run around the beach and show them off! I’ve been coming here for almost two months now and I could only give this gym praise for how well maintained it is and how open and friendly the trainers and gym goers are.
Each trainer is professional and certified to handle each client’s wants and needs, with no air of judgement. When in any other gym, the environment would be more isolating and intimidating, Sage has a warm feeling of welcoming and a family-like dynamic.
In my time here, I’ve observed the trainers and their clients working together and couldn’t help but to notice how focused they were and how at-home they felt. Whether they were 16 or 60 years old, everyone was here to work hard and push each other to become the best version of themselves.
Yes, that’s what a gym is suppose to be but you’d be hard pressed to find another gym like this one. If you’re just starting and are nervous or shy about yourself, I urge you to pay Sage a visit and have one of the trainers give you a tour.
