Taino Party Hall — Attraction in New York

This place offers terrible customer service. Five years ago right before the pandemic I put down a deposit for $500. which was more than they required. The pandemic hit and I requested a refund which they refused. Giving everything that was occurring in the world one would think they would provide a refund. Now five years later my daughter is having another baby. I want to provide her with the baby shower she never had. I reached out to this venue, twice, had to waits DAYS for a reply. They responded with a screenshot from 2021 that I had to book within a year and no refunds.

I didn't fully believe they would be gracious enough to allow me to book their venue using the deposit I gave them five years earlier, but I had hoped they would have at least provide decent customer service. Such as offer a discount of some sort to book with them. Instead they kept my money and provided me with the same terrible customer service they gave me five years ago.

Met a representative from this establishment. He was late. Walk in on a weekday. There was garbage bins full of bottle and it smelled of mold. The place was not clean. Walking threw to view the bathrooms. There are cracks in the porcelain door slab entry. Including two cracked tiles. I can imagine someone falling straight in to the toilets or sink. Which is alarming since they require you to insure the event on the contract. Entering the kitchen you see roaches crawling underneath the bar. I brought this up to him. There were typos in the contract. In package 1 on the amount of tables and linens provided. Representative mentioned he’s been meaning to change it. His demeanor was unconcerned with the state of the place or liabilities mentioned. The space could use an upgrade. There’s so many updated and modern spots within the area. When I went to visit the place, the lady was very nice and after she got a down payment, the pandemic hit I was doing my daughters celebration after she earned her PHD. As you know during the pandemic everything closed down. The lady never bothered to call me. I had to do a 311 complaint just for her to return my messages. It wasn’t a birthday party.
