Mildred Helms Park — Attraction in Newark

I visit this park quite often, but today I noticed a group of individuals cleaning up trash and making a real effort to tidy the area. I was particularly impressed by their dedication, as they took the time to pick up every single piece of litter they found.

What caught my attention even more was that they were wearing Sean Spiller shirts and canvassing in the neighborhood for his campaign. It was refreshing to see such hands-on community involvement, especially since this park is usually in desperate need of a cleanup.

This park is not maintained well. It's aging and falling apart. It's time to gut that park and redesign and update it for the children. If you know ya place to live then being at this park with an reason to just injoy the site of green then know from experience every one is supposed to be inside not at park in the night unless late grilling burgers by the nwk been right there like um last buger ok.. great park to view...
