St Rose of Lima Church — Attraction in Newark

My home since 2nd grade. That's more than 50 yrs. Our large rose window and German stained glass throughout is beautiful. There are Spanish and English congregations. Father Joe performed my grandson Messiah Baptism it was beautiful, heartfelt and very personalized, he was great thank you !!!! He understood the assignment !!!! my grandson lost his mom Sade at the age of 8 months, the family was from a diverse background, my son and I are Catholic and he made everyone feel welcome, comfortable and except it, and I praise him for this. I wish I could give it 5 stars , its my Catholic church, however, clergy need to keep this church more about God , more about Mass and much less about community events , show more respect for the presence of Jesus in the eucharist and sing with more solemnity.
