I found myself at Weequahic Park today for my son's football tournament. The turf field was really nice. No seating so be prepared to bring your own chair. During a long break I decided to explore. I went for a walk using the walking path and discovered just how beautiful the park is. There are so many stations along the path for kids to play or exercise. I was able to capture a beautiful picture of the lake halfway through the walk. The entire loop around the path was about 2.5 miles. I know some reviews say the park is dirty and I must agree it needs some care but I see that as a great opportunity for some community volunteers to set up an event and get some local families and kids together to help clean up the park. There really is such great potential. I can't wait to visit again and see it...

I glad I got to do that, and will return. The track can be challenging when getting towards the hills but worth it if you do not want to spend money to go to a gym to walk on a treadmill. It was nice to see some of the other track walkers egging me on. That motivated me greatly. I will be back as I continue my fitness journey. And I will stay strapped for anyone who wants to start some foolishness because I am a woman walking...
