Decided to check out Quarry Cove and absolutely loved it! We saw quite a bit of harbor seals and their pups. Quite a beautiful spot! The tide was coming in and washing some of them off the rock. We witnessed seals swimming upside down and they also can swim insanely fast! Like they have zoomies! Bathrooms can be found at the parking lot of Quarry Cove, at the interpretive center (worth stopping and checking out) and also at the Lighthouse parking lot (these might be pit toilets though. I didn't check.) Fees: $7 for a car, which covers you for 3 days. $3 for a motorcycle, which is good for 3 days Walking in or riding your bike in gives you free entry. America the Beautiful pass gets you in for free. If this was helpful, please like it ❤️ and consider following our TikTok: nomad.lifestyle

This quiet little beach with rocks jutting out into the ocean is well worth visiting. It’s a very short ride from the Yaquina head lighthouse and you can walk all the way down to her beach from the parking lot, along the paved road. As the name suggests this used to be an old quarry and best time to walk down is during low tide.

This area is designed for people with mobility issues to explore the beach and tide pools. If you want access to the lower parking lot, pick up a pass at the visitor’s center. The rocks surrounding the beach are populated with fist sized crabs that flee from you as you boulder over rocks. Beware of protected bird areas.

If you have a disability impacting walking, this trail is HARD!! if you're on the fence about it I highly recommend asking either the entry booth or the center for a remote to open the gate so you can drive down there. I wish I had done that. It's very nice, would like to come back at low tide (it's an...
