I've been here twice with my toddler, but I feel like this place is run by a few teenagers who enjoying yelling at people. However, they seem a bit more lenient on allowing snacking on the beach even though that's against their extensive list of rules, or perhaps they are distracted. The beach is tiny, at best, so when I went there today, I was surprised to see the entire section in front of the lifeguard stand blocked off (see photo) That's about 30% of the 'beach' area that is cutoff bc it's a very "popular" spot to hang out for people. Mind you, Newton residents already pay $5 for this place that has no showers and not a proper place to change clothes bc the bathroom door doesn't exist. You need to wiggle yourself away from a toilet to put on back civilian clothes. Perhaps there's a secret room that charges another fee to change clothes. I only come here for the access to the water but if I want sand, I'd just stick my toddler in a wheelbarrow with some playsand and call it...
