I've been here twice with my toddler, but I feel like this place is run by a few teenagers who enjoying yelling at people. However, they seem a bit more lenient on allowing snacking on the beach even though that's against their extensive list of rules, or perhaps they are distracted. The beach is tiny, at best, so when I went there today, I was surprised to see the entire section in front of the lifeguard stand blocked off (see photo) That's about 30% of the 'beach' area that is cutoff bc it's a very "popular" spot to hang out for people. Mind you, Newton residents already pay $5 for this place that has no showers and not a proper place to change clothes bc the bathroom door doesn't exist. You need to wiggle yourself away from a toilet to put on back civilian clothes. Perhaps there's a secret room that charges another fee to change clothes. I only come here for the access to the water but if I want sand, I'd just stick my toddler in a wheelbarrow with some playsand and call it the beach. ☀️

Beautiful lake they have a cost for summer membership & the have a daily pass . It’s definitely worth it . Changing rooms and bathroom , plus parking included in the day pass or membership. You can swim on the side for free but no access to the lifeguard , bathroom or changing areas . I don’t know if it’s legit I just seen people doing this . Free parking 🅿️ it also has a small dock .

It’s a cool place just to relax and chat away the night. The beach area is small (In the still photo, in the bottom right hand corner - you see some sand - that is the beach bathing area.) Just a little more upkeep and the place would earn another star. Looks like it could use a touch up but, not bad. Extremely nice neighborhood and it looks and feels pretty safe in the area.

It is way too crowded and much of the time the water quality isn't good. Also, it's definitely not a lake, but rather a pond. There also isn't much parking. It's in a city, so there's a lot of run-off from roads and yards when it rains, which finds its way into the pond. It negatively affects the water quality in various ways, including by providing food for bacteria to feed off of...
