For the last four years, I await the first weekend of November for the annual Thunderbird PowWow! Here is a place where the gathering of nations takes place, and the community is always welcome with open arms! It starts with Friday, known as children's day. This day has many different activities with great history for the kids to have some hands on and experience how Native Americans used to do things. Many schools surrounding the area take this opportunity and do a field trip where the kids can have a personal experience. If you are interested in purchasing unique traditional native american items, there are a lot of great vendors ready to sell what they have ctafted. If you are a food lover, you will also find a variety of stands that sell fried bread, Indian Taco, BBQ, hot dogs, ice cream, hamburger 🍔, coffee ☕️...etc I mention this because not all powwows have such a variety in foods.
