MJ Nixa Gold and Coin — Attraction in Nixa

I had an older lady bring me and my son in (who is 9) up to this place today and we were kind of excited going in just to see what our coins were worth (because ive saved them since my older daughter was a baby) because we love coin collecting and my dad did as well (he isnt here anymore). When we walk in, me and my son go to the counter and explain that we just want to see what our coins are worth, the older lady who brought us stated to the young male behind the counter that when her parents passed the company/workers had done good by her and so she wanted to bring us there to see our coin worth... the young man then said to the older lady "We like to sleep at night" then proceeded with my coins but did not look at any of my coins or even take them out of the bags and then told me and my son that we would be better off spending all of my old coins that total I had blah blah in coins but yet never even looked at them... this was beyond disappointing and honestly a waste of everyone's time! Very judgemental especially being the older lady may have conditions of her own that causes whatever he had an issue with... but personally me and my kids sleep at night also! I get that alot of people use drugs but I can promise you I'm not one! And if he thought I was looking for drug money welp buddy you was wrong.. we didn't want to sell our coins we were simply trying to enjoy the day and just killing time before getting his sister from school... never will I go back or even suggest anyone go there!!! Horrible 1st impression and I will not be back for any type...

We bought a pair of huggie diamond earrings for $350 from MJ that fell off my ear the first day I wore them due to a faulty clasp. It was brought back for repair the day the opened after Christmas, which they did without hassle. The “fix” lasted one wear, and it broke again. I have taken it back multiple times in the last year to have it fixed(all with no hassle), but each time it only lasting one wear. I asked for a refund after this last “fix” (picked it up Saturday, and was only able to wear it Monday) and was accused of lying and kicked out of the store. I asked them to review their repair logs as I have been in multiple times to have this same exact issue fixed, but even though they do keep them they refused and told me to “do what I am going to do” about it. So here is what I am going to do: I simply want to say to anybody considering purchasing from MJ’s- Please think about it long and hard first, and if you want quality jewelry from a business that has the skill to fix and/or the integrity to back up your purchase, do yourself a favor and go...

This was our first time to sell silver and I was impressed with the ease and speed that we were able to do this with MJ Nixa Gold and Coin. We sold 300oz of silver as 1oz rounds and 10oz bars and their appraisal was timely and they paid us in cash at a more competitive rate than a closer business in Springfield where we're living. (Nixa is about a 30 minute ride from us). All the staff were courteous and friendly.The shop was also clean and spacious with lots of interesting collectables - statues, bank notes, coins and jewelry.
