I stayed a couple nights here with my two kids to visit family. We just used a single king size bed. I admit I was a bit skeptical at first. There was more signing than I'm used to, specifically regarding no smoking or vaping in the rooms. Maybe it's because of that I thought I smelled faint cigarette smell when I went into the room. Not strong, but not great. I noted it to the staff just to make sure I wouldn't get the charge for it. In hindsight it could've had to do with the melted spot in the carpet from the iron (not really a big deal.) Also, there is no elevator. BUUUUUTTT the more I checked the place out I have to say it was very CLEAN, which is typically my biggest concern. The staff was friendly. The breakfast had much better variety than I expected for the size. It also felt fairly safe and quiet. There's even the Nixa park and a little public garden right behind it that I took the kids to. There's a nearby grocery story and a Walgreen's that's open until midnight. So after I picked up a little plug-in air freshener I have to say it was a pretty nice stay. I thought the mini-fridge wasn't very cold at first... but then my juice got icy. So yeah, it's cold. Sure, the place could use a little work. But there's clearly effort being made and it looks like they're investing money into improving the place. It's decent value for the price. I think I'll stay here again next time! Excuse my stuff in the pictures. I'd already started unpacking by the time I thought to take them.

Absolutely do not recommend this hotel. We stayed here once before this time and it was fine. Somehow we ended up in the same room again so we had something to compare it to and I wish we hadn’t. Our curtain had holes in it and when i checked the other side to see if the holes were all the way through I realized how absolutely filthy the curtains were. There was hair on my pillow and on the toilet. There was a towel balled up in the shower. My sheets had gross spots on it and I was too nervous to pull back the whole sheet after that, so I ended up sleeping on top of the comforter which also had a hole in it. We didn’t have a choice but to stay because of the little time we had to spare. The floor had creepy red spots all over it so we left our shoes on the whole time. The lamps were dimly lit, just plain gross, and seemed like they’ve been through it. I’ve never seen a more dirty smoke detector before… The no smoking hallway smelled like someone had just smoked in it and sprayed air freshener over it. It was disgusting. When my mom complained at check out they told her everything was new and no one else has complained about that room, and they only clean the carpets a couple times a year. we will never be staying at this hotel again. The housekeeper on staff was very nice when i saw her on our way out, though at least, so she deserves a shoutout for being friendly, but other than that the only redeeming quality was how central it was to everything we needed it for. Very disappointed.

Let me preface my review by saying this is just a two-star hotel. That being said, I was somewhat surprised. I was expecting a bed bug infested, rusted out bathroom fixture kind of place. Instead, what I found was a clean, comfortable, quiet hotel. The decor is a bit dated. Most hotels are going with a pure white motif for bedspreads and wooden or tile styled floors. This place has some really dark fabrics and carpet. Those are just what I'm used to seeing these days. I have two real complaints. One is about accessibility. This hotel is not truly accessible. Anyone in a wheelchair would definitely have trouble getting into the manual front door which must be pulled open to gain entrance. I do not believe it could be done by someone in a wheelchair, traveling on their own. Also, the lack of an elevator is a problem. In my opinion, anyone with bags needs assistance going up the stairs, and an elevator is a must. If you have mobility issues, the only way to assure an accessible room is to request one. It is not clear from Wyndham's website that if you have mobility issues you must ask for an accessible room to assure one. There is no mention of the lack of an elevator. Secondly, the amount of light leaking in at the windows from the parking lot lights was excessive. I didn't know if it was night or day outside from the amount of light leaking into the room from around the drapes.

I made two separate room reservations for Thursday, April 5th and Friday, April 6th; one for my elderly mother and I and one for my daughter and her family. We, unfortunately, were there to attend the funeral of my ONLY nephew who had been murdered the week before. My mother and I arrived at the motel first and got checked in. I explained to the desk clerk that my daughter and her family would be arriving a little later due to work. I provided them with her name and the type of vehicle she would be driving. The desk clerk assured me there would be no problem. My mother and I left for my nephews visitation and my daughter and her family arrived at the motel a short time later. My daughter began to frantically call me but I did not have cell service where the visitation was being held. Finally, she got ahold of another family member who came and got me to take the phone call. My daughter was crying because, now a different desk clerk, was telling her that she could not check in because the room was in my name, even though the room was PAID FOR at the time I MADE the reservation. My child was also crying because she was afraid she was going to miss the visitation for her cousins funeral. I told my daughter to immediately take the phone into the desk clerk because I was going to tell her EXACTLY what I thought about her and her treatment of my child at an already stressfully sad time. Of course, the desk clerk wouldn't take the call and allowed my daughter to check in. To top everything else off, when my mother and I returned several hours later, I went to turn the heat on and the entire unit was FILTHY! It was caked with dust and grime. The shower curtain was hung inside out. The carpets were covered in stains. The bedspreads were put on upside down. You can obviously tell that there is ZERO care or concern for this property or the unfortunate people who had to stay there. To make things worse, on the second night, school bus loads of teenagers arrived. They ran up and down the hallways, slamming their doors, running up and down the stairs, which of course, was right next to my mother and mines room. No one attempted to quiet them, not even the staff, even though they were still doing these things well into the early morning hours. I will NEVER stay at this motel again, which I've stayed at before because I have family in the area. I will also make sure that no one I know stays at this motel and that my voice will be heard through my reviews and my letter to their corporate headquarters! STAY FAR, FAR AWAY FROM THIS RIDICULOUSLY...

Location is key as it's the only lodging inside Nixa proper. The rooms are quaint enough for a Super 8, and as typical, beds aren't great, amenities are on par with budget lodging.

The issue I have is the evening customer care individual is the worst I've ever encountered. The individual refuses to be of any assistance, and when asked is extremely inconvenienced to put her iPhone down to actually help. Our check-in night, I had requested a roll away bed, and upon arrival to a mostly empty hotel, was told, "I dont read note requests, and they're already given out." When asked why notes aren't read, and asked about the mass vacancy, I simply received a roll of the eyes. When I got to the room and we were short on pillows, I asked for more pillows and an extra blanket and was told they dont have any, because they were stolen. I asked, "stolen!?" She explained that guests stole all the pillows so there's nothing she could do.

The next day, we returned to no towels. I called asking for towels to be delivered and she said I had to head to the front, she couldn't deliver. I was provided 2 towels for my family, and when I asked if I could have a couple more, she threw her phone down and asked, "you need more!? Well how many then?"

So, if you're just looking for a place to sleep and dont need to interact with the evening help, this is a spring mattress with a roof. If you need any help, dont expect any type of service. The morning help was great, but this evening person needs to go back to the warehouse labor she came from and just put together 3M products...

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. It wasn't necessarily the quality of the rooms (although it's super 8, so you get what you pay for), but the service of the employees that was bad. I drove from St Louis with a friend because we were both part of a wedding party, I got checked in fine, but my friend was told his card was "declined". We then proceeded to try 6 different cards (including the one that I had just used to successfully check into my room) all while the staff got more and more rude telling us that we didn't have enough money, and that if the manager was there he would refuse to rent us a room. The staff was needlessly and overly rude. We were given an ultimatum by the old lady running the front desk that was essentially "pay cash or leave" but at this point my friend had discovered that he had already paid online for the room he was trying to check in to. He tried to explain to the staff that the reason his card wasn't being charged was that he had pre-paid for the room but the staff kept saying "pay cash or leave". So finally, because we had nowhere else to go, we had to cough up an additional $100 (plus an additional $150 deposit) and worst of all my buddy had to pay twice for a room that wasn't even worth what is charged for one night. This whole situation could have been avoided if the staff had just read their invoice which clearly showed that the room had been pre-paid (we attemptedto point this out but the staff wouldn't listen. If I could give 0...
