Went here for the first time on June 1st Had an absolutely awful experience with the workers, I'm a wheelchair user and carry a bag and water bottle with me everywhere I go, I got cleared to go in and I guess they didn't see my water bottle and was getting yelled at by the head of the supervisor why I had it and who cleared it, I thought it was okay because nobody had said it wasn't, he made a scene and said I wasn't allowed to bring it in not allowing me to tell him why i needed it. When another worker was showing me where I could get in because the other workers had no idea how to get me in and tried pushing my wheelchair in the metal detector even after I told them I would not fit and needed another way in. While the worker was opening the door I asked if it was okay if I brought my water bottle because I needed it for medical reasons she stated "I was already being allowed to bring in my bag" which I replied with "technically you have too" because it is a medical bag and I started rolling away to find the rest of my group because I was told everything was fine and I was cleared, she started shouting at me to stop and then started putting her hands on me. She did not tell me why or what she was doing but pressed on my abdomen very hard triggering some of my medical issues and at this point my caregiver was away putting my water bottle away and grabbing me a clear one so I was completely vulnerable. I have never been touched in that way ever for any sort of event I have attended that had the same kind of rules in place. Very disappointed in the way I was treated and how I was handled as a wheelchair user and the disrespect and inhumane behavior I experienced from...
Read moreTonight I visited Loyd Noble in Norman to watch the women's gymnastics.I went last year with my grandaughter also and we enjoyed it! But,this time I feel like I had to run a gauntlet to get in.The black lady at the scanner was just so loud and rude. She wouldn't let my daughter carry her small wallet in,so my grandaughter ran it out to the car.She also looked inside my walker and said I couldn't have my water cup.So she said loudly to put in the corner by the door,so I did.I barely got through there with my walker! So before it ended I went to get my cup and get out of the way of the crowd. When I saw that my cup wasn't there she was very rude and kept talking about the cleaners had been there while she stood by her big pile of belongings on the floor. She acted weird about me looking at her stuff. She was rude again,so I said ok,is there a lost and found? She didn't know where it was or even if they had one.So mind you,I'm pushing my walker through the crowd.I asked snack bar people,a policeman and the boss she called him and he didn't know. Its a good thing that I was looking for a cup and not a kid! By then ,it's not about the cup anymore. Its about being rude and NOT HELPFUL!I did tell her she was rude and a gentleman next me says, well she is rude! If you're going to have a job working with people you need to have patience with just a...
Read moreWent to see my all-time favorite thing in the world. The Kentucky wildcats got the tickets in advance online. Got to the door and they wouldn't work. Finally got one of them to work and they sent me to the box office to see about what was wrong with the other one. They couldn't get that one to work. Tried to sell me another one. I don't really know whose fault that is whether it was the online thing or the facility. So I had to take my friend home and ended up going to the game by myself. As far as the venue goes, the scoreboards are in a horrible spot. Can't really see them from anywhere. You're sitting. Big screen in the middle is kind of small and had stuff hanging down in front of it. Couldn't really read any of the stats ever being displayed or anything. You didn't really show any recent replays or anything during the game. Not really an SEC caliber venue in my opinion. Definitely need some improvements but the staff was friendly and the parking was pretty easy. Not much to fit. Choose from in the way of snacks though. Overall...
